Incredible technology and options as well. Has HDMI arc and smart tv options I’ve never seen before. Don’t have annoying issues of having to troubleshoot cause the internet connection falls off like with other smart tvs. Great visual quality as well.

85” is the best of the Q80A series

You get the local dimming that comes with the Q80A and the blacks of a VA panel. I don’t use built in speakers but I was surprised the sound on the 85”, much better than other built in speakers I heard before.

Picture compares to other TV's costing twice as much. BestBuy Showroom demonstration was very convincing. Friendly knowledgeable sales associate - not pushy - took time to explain differences and compare other TV's.

Good TV when on sale

The only downside to this TV is that I wish it gets brighter. Other than that, the image quality is really good for an LED TV. The remote is solar, which I don't really think is that useful indoor, but it is also rechargeable via a micro USB, so that is a big convenience for me.

Thank you for purchasing the 2021 Samsung Q80A QLED 4K Smart TV and sharing your thoughts on the image quality. Quantum Dot Technology powers over a billion brilliant shades of vivid and lifelike colors that stay true regardless of the scene’s brightness.
Please know you can customize the brightness level between 0 – 50 to your preference. Go to Home > Settings > Picture > Expert Settings > Brightness.
You can also try different Picture Modes to see which best fits your needs. Go to Home > Settings > Picture > Picture Mode for the below choices:
1) Standard: Is the default mode suitable for general viewing environments.
2) Natural: Reduces eye strain for a comfortable viewing experience.
3) Movie: Is suitable for watching TV or movies in a dark room.
4) Dynamic: Makes the picture brighter and clearer in bright viewing environments.
5) Filmmaker Mode: You can watch the source content (e.g., movie) as it is. If the image is defined as Filmmaker Mode, it will automatically switch to Filmmaker Mode while watching.
Intelligent Mode also enables the TV to recognize and analyze the surroundings, noise, content, and your usage patterns to provide the best viewing experience. You can enable Intelligent Mode by going to Home > Settings > General > Intelligent Mode Settings. Adaptive Picture, which is among the options, optimizes brightness and provides the best picture quality in real time, based on the lighting condition and the content you're viewing.

I would highly recommend this TV and the price is more than fair. I also added a high quality Samsung sound bar with rear speakers because as we all know the TV speakers do not produce the best sound

Vibrant Color

The sound is great but could use a little more bass. The only thing that is different from my previous 75in Samsung is that this 85in tv shows more light glare. Overall we are very pleased with this purchase.

This one has gone into our family room where everyone can enjoy it. The picture is great and it has a ton of goodies to explore. Keep up the good work Samsung.

Wish Samsung had this TV as a display only monitor at a lower price, it is being used with an AV receiver in a 5.2.4 setup and the speakers of the TV will most likely never get used.

I had a large space to fill, and wanted a TV that would be a talking piece when we have company. I wear glasses for distance viewing, but with this TV I don't need them from anywhere in the room!
