I purchased this 2021 Samsung 85 inch QN85A NEO QLED 4K tv this week. After I dialed in all the settings for each picture mode including Intelligent Mode I can honestly tell you this tv is a BEAST!! The Brightness, Color Saturation, upscaling and overall picture quality are all MESMERIZING and just flat INSANE and INCREDIBLE. Movies, NETFLIX movies and shows, SPORTS and 1080P Blu-Rays all look Fantastic and pin-point. There are several options for dialing in your specific motion preference. You can make this tv look like a better version of OLED or you can make it look like the BEST QLED EVER! It just blows your mind and the black performance on this VA PANEL is REALLY REALLY BLACK!! I’m coming from a 2018 SAMSUNG 65 inch Q9FN ( one of the best full-array TVs ever made and still love it dearly) and this tv has equal to BETTER BLACK PERFORMANCE and BETTER COLOR SATURATION and BRIGHTNESS PUNCH! GO GET THIS TV… I’m not a gamer but this has to be a GAMER’S DREAM! Thank you SAMSUNG and THANK YOU BEST BUY!! This tv is a 5 Star WINNER in 2021 and Beyond! NEO QLED ( Mini led) JUST FLAT ROCKS!! Tell all your friends about this tv! Just look at all the customer reviews…. It’s freakin’ AWESOME…. BUY IT AND ENJOY YOUR SMILE

We had an old 75" TV and it was starting to show it's age, so we decided to upgrade this year. For the longest time I was debating on whether to get an OLED or a QLED as the TV is in a well lit room with plenty of windows. After seeing both models at our local store, we decided the QLED would be the best option for our living room. We are so happy with the TV, we mounted it on the wall, and it is so thin it almost looks flush with the wall. The colors pop and are incredibly bright, the blacks are real dark, and at night, we can't even notice the black bars on wide aspect ratio movies. Our old TV had an 8bit "HDR" panel, and oh boy, what a difference this new panel makes! I can see detail I could never perceive on the old TV set, and both movies and games look fantastic. I did my research, and 85" panels for this specific model are VA panels as opposed to IPS panels, used in the smaller models, this is the same panel Samsung uses for the QN90 series. Speaking of games, I have my RTX 3090FE PC connected to the TV using HDMI 2.1, I took a screenshot with it using RGB, but now I have it set for 4K 120Hz at 4.4.4 chroma subsampling with Gsync enabled, games look amazing and using the TV's game mode allows me to see all the info I need about my current display options, even down to the FPS counter! Games on PS5 also look great, and we also use it as our main 4K player, we are going through our collection of 4K movies and re watching them as we feel like we missed so much detail on the old TV. The TV menus are also very responsive and apps load very fast, especially compared to our old TV, you can download all streaming apps, and even apps I had never heard of before. In a nutshell, you can't go wrong with this TV, we couldn't be happier with our purchase and boy are we glad we went for QLED as it looks fantastic even in the daytime.

Great 4K HDR Flat Panel TV

Huge 4k bright image. Interface is convoluted but not difficult to learn. The manual is a total joke and the remote sucks. But you don't buy this fo remotes and manuals, you buy it because you want a big flat panel TV. I'm stepping down in size from a projector and so far this is great! I really wanted 4k and doing that with a projector was starting to become complicated so I started to look at panels. This one had the best image, the best daytime viewing performance and has great features. After tons of reviews and 2.5 hours in the store this was the one. The image is tunable, and the over brightness can be corrected if you know what you're doing. And with those corrections the image is sharp, appropriately bright and amazing. Image is edge to edge like a smartphone and realistic. It allowed for a super clean install with no dead spots. And about that install. Unless you've done it before get best buy to do it. This thing is potatchip thin and I can see why people have cracked screens doing it themselves. It weights almost 100lbs and I did a table top mount with the included stand and it looks super! The stand is sturdy and it makes it look like it's floating. This had as good an image as the Sony Bravia xj95 at less cost. Performance is what it's about and this does it all day long. I was able to get it on sale and had a gift card that made this an amazing deal. But even at $3k it's a great value that solves a lot of problems and has a genuinely great image. I would recommend this unit.

Awsome TV, had it for 2 years and have not had any issues with it so far! Picture is great and vivid. The only 2 downsides with this TV is that i cant go smaller with future TVs! And the speaker is okay, but with this large of a TV why wouldn't you get speakers? My next one for the basement will be 100 inch, definitely recommend getting this at best buy!

This review is for the 85 inch QN85A TV. The TV is absolutely fantastic now that it is working- let me explain. Here is the reason I cannot give 5 stars. I did not purchase the full delivery service where the Geek squad will install the tv for you. My delivery consisted of placing the tv in the room and helped remove the huge box. From there, I was on my own. My fault, but not my fault that the TV's HDMI ports 1, 2, and 3 were defective. That would not have been an issue but HDMI port 3 was the ARC. You need that one. HDMI port 4 was working perfectly. What I mean by defective is that the 3 HDMI ports had a piece sticking up inside that blocked the connection from engaging. I put a picture of it on here but you have to enlarge it to see the piece sticking up inside. So, unfortunately I had to send it back Best Buy was great on the return. They scheduled a replacement delivery no problem. To my surprises the 2nd TV delivered, exact same model, had the exact same issue with HDMI ports 1,2, and 3. Really? Am I going crazy? Is there a new and different HDMI cord that is needed? Nope. There is a mini HDMI connection that exists but the TV has all standard HDMI ports. Nothing special and will accept a standard HDMI cord. The problem was there was something sticking up inside the port. I called Samsung. The person on the phone told me that the connection was fine and this happens all the time. She told me to push the HDMI cord in the port hard. That was a mistake and not the answer. She did not understand this was a defective HDMI port. Ok, so I want to exchange this TV again but this time I would upgrade to the QN90A. The problem is that the QN90A is not in stock. Best Buy will not allow me to do it until it is in stock. I guess that makes sense but would love to be able to secure this transaction now. Moving forward. I was able to move the piece that was sticking up in the port down in HDMI port 3- ARC. It worked! The TV is unbelievable. Very clear and High Definition picture with a ton of brightness and color. If you like Samsung TVs, this will not disappoint. Still worried about my fix lasting the test of time. This is not Best Buy's fault and recommend them highly on TV purchases. But if anyone from Best Buy or Samsung that reads this can help me, I would appreciate it. Also, I have to believe I did not receive the only two Samsung TVs with this issue but anything is possible.

From 60” to 85” is awesome! This TV has the most vivid colors and sound compared to other tv brands! Easy to use. Love that I don’t need batteries for the remote, solar pad on the back or plug in to charge.

Debated about whether to get this one or to upgrade to an 8K tv. In the showroom this one really had the richer colors, but the 8K one looked more realistic. We went with the vivid colors and I'm glad we did. First, 8K programming is virtually nonexistent at the moment. Secondly, saved a few thousand dollars, enough to buy some other components. I will say, maybe it's me, but this TV is perhaps too smart for its own good. We're still figuring out how to set it up! But a HUGE improvement from our old Samsung LCD TV for sure!

Best Samsung TV I Ever Purchased.

Best TV I’ve ever purchased. I own about 4 LED TV’s all of which are Samsung’s (49”, 55”, 65” & 85”). If you’re looking to upgrade your TV the Samsung line of Neo QLED TV’s are the way to go. The pictures are vivid and there’s literally no delay and lag between operations. The TV also instantly recognizes the device that is being connected via any HDMI cable. One thing to also note is this line of TV’s doesn’t use the mini connect hub that the Samsung TV’s used to use to connect devices i.e. gaming consoles, soundbars, cameras, etc. All of the connection ports are on the back of the TV. There is a new port which is for a LAN/ethernet connection directly to the TV since most people using streaming services like Hulu, Apple TV, Netflix vs. cable or satellite TV. Also, you will definitely need a soundbar since the speakers on the TV will not generate enough volume to your liking no matter how loud you turn up the volume, but that is the case with majority of the LED TV’s these days. You can’t have loud speakers on a TV that’s about an inch and a half thick.

Best picture on any TV screen that I have ever seen, anywhere. 4K upscaling gives old movies and TV shows a new perspective. Finally, a TV screen in my house that rivals the movie theatre. Easy to switch between apps. 4 HDMI inputs, two USB ports, and built-in Alexa makes it unbeatable.

Bought this TV about 2 months ago. Waited before leaving my review, as I wanted to see if there were any issues with the TV once purchased (there weren’t any). I can honestly say that this is THE best TV I’ve ever purchased. The color and the brightness on this TV is truly unbelievable! I couldn’t be any happier with my purchase! I included a couple of pictures with my review, as you can write a book about how great it is, but there’s nothing like seeing it for yourself.

Not very useful in a bright sunlit room. Otherwise the tv is great. The Tizen apps are easy and work fairly well. It does drop internet frequently. Not unhappy but wish I had gone up to the 90 series for better daytime viewing.

The TV works good but has a bit of trouble detecting old devices that don't have CEC which causes conflicts with HDMI-eARC and won't detect HDMI in the Sound Output. Therefore, if you want to attach the old device to the TV, you must cut the CEC pin of the HDMI cable.

After weeks of researching a new tv i finally made the decision to take this massive tv home. I wanted to love it so badly. In the store it blew me away; size, color, quality, the multiview feature which is perfect for sports fans, literally everything about it. Once i got it home i was highly dissappointed. Colors were off, upscaling wasnt good, and judder/studder during live tv (nfl football) was absolutely atrocious and made it almost not watchable. I love samsung tvs and am upgrading from an older 65 inch Q6FN, and q8T that i use for gaming. Those tv also had the stuttering issue but the Q6 was livable as it only happened once in a while so i made that my main tv. My older non qled samsung tv does not stutter/judder at all. It is a known hardware issue with samsung do not believe anyone that tells you its bevause of the tvs fast response time, that is false lol. Samsung has had an open investigation since releasinf the T model series just look at rtings review of the Q8T. It is also on samsungs website support page. If you only use the tv for streaming netflix etc and not watching live tv you wont have this issue. The color wasnt fixable no matter what i did, if the color looked good the screen looked dull. And if the color looked bad the picture looked clear. Look at everyone elses pictures on the reviews. Skin tones look red/pink, greens lool like bright highlighter green, and colors do not look natural. They actually look way too artificial. DSE was bad, blooming was good unless you are watching at an angle. Lastly, if you use this tv in a room with cieling lights that can be seen in the screen when turned on you will get a rainbow reflection that goes across the entire screen. This was also present with natural light just not as bad as with an actual light. This tv had everything i wanted as i was still unsure about switching to OLED due to my living room being bright with natural lighting and i was left dissapointed. I still love samsung products this tv is just not one of them. I have since returned it and took the risk on a sony a80j 77 inch. My goodness, it is night and day difference. Color was perfect out if the box and after adjusting peak luminance it can be seen perfectly even in my bright living room. If you are sold on getting an 85 inch tv because of size i would suggest trying out LG or sony as this tv just doesnt make the cut unless you are ok with non natural colors, studder/judder, rainbow screen effect, poor upscaling/noisy images. I hope samsung fixes their hardware issue as this could have been a great tv.
