Upscaling from HD or SD contents makes picture quality fuzzy and blurry. Remedy is to reduce sharpness way down wich creates a very flat picture. Returning the TV.

Save money and wait for the QN95C.

This TV as of now has a major issue where the whole screen dims to reduce blooming during bright and/or challenging scenes.
The upcoming QN95C is not having this issue and beats the QN900C across the board.
QN900C 85-inch is $8000
QN95C 85-inch is $5800
Buy the QN95C which is performing much better and save the extra $2200.

I’m sorry to hear you’re not fully satisfied with the QN900C TV’s picture quality. If the image is too dim, please try disabling some of the TV's energy efficiency functions, as these will automatically adjust your picture and may cause your screen to appear brighter or darker than preferred. Go to: Home > Menu > Settings > All Settings > General & Privacy > Power and Energy Saving > turn off Brightness Optimization, Brightness Reduction, and Motion Lighting
You may also want to try adjusting image settings to improve your picture. Go to Home > Menu > Settings > All Settings > Picture > Picture Mode 1. Standard: Is the default mode suitable for general viewing environments 2. Dynamic: Makes the picture brighter and clearer in bright viewing environments 3. Eco: Provided to save energy 4. Movie: Suitable for watching TV or movies in a dark room 5. Filmmaker Mode: Provides source content just as the creators intended. If the image is defined as Filmmaker Mode, it’ll automatically switch to Filmmaker Mode while watching.
You can also customize the brightness level of your screen between 0 – 50 to your preference. Go to: Home > Menu > Settings > All Settings > Picture > Expert Settings

Horrible service from both Samsung and Best Buy. I have owned this 85 inch tv for less than 1 year and it quit working. I called Best Buy for assistance via Geek Squad and paid in advance for someone just to come check everything. They refused due to some agreement they have with Samsung. Crazy that they won't let me pay for service even though I have a 3 year warranty with them.

Have had this TV for less than 7 months and it had had multiple problems. Now it won’t power on at all and it has been almost 2 weeks since I called Samsung support and it still isn’t fixed.

With the Total Tech I got almost $3k off this TV. I have two other 8k TVs. This one is brighter and cleaerer than the other 2 Samsung 8k TVs. Totally worth it. Best Samsung TV to date.
