Thank you for purchasing the Samsung QN90A TV. We appreciate your feedback regarding the issues you are experiencing with audio Pass-Through. Please be sure your firmware is up to date with version 1901.0 which includes various performance updates. You can check this by going to: Settings > Support > Software Update.
If this firmware version is not yet available on your TV, you can download the update on a USB drive and manually update your TV:
1. On Samsung's website (upper right corner), go to: Support > Manuals & Software > Find your TV model.
2. Download the update and extract it to the root of a USB thumb drive. (Do not put it in any folders on the thumb drive.)
3. Connect the USB thumb drive to a USB port on your TV.
4. Navigate to Settings > Support > Software Update, select Update Now, and then select Yes.
5. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the updated software.
Please know that our Pass-Through feature will allow the audio signal to be sent out unprocessed to an external Soundbar or receiver connected to the TV. The external Soundbar or receiver then processes the audio, thereby eliminating the added step of processing by the TV, which adds delay.
On your TV go to: Settings > Sound > Expert Settings > Digital Audio Output Format > Pass-Through

Amazing tv
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This tv is simply stunning. I was trying to decide between this, the LG c1 and Sony a80j both in 77 inch. The dark levels on the OLED definitely beat this. However, I think the benefit of this tv outweigh the risk of the OLED. The burn in is a real issue no matter what implementations these manufactures put into place. I don't want to baby my tv. I don't want to avoid certain games or tv materials due to increase risk fo burn in. I also fall asleep sometimes while watching tv. My family also watches the tv, and they sometimes leave the tv on without turning it off. The black level is near OLED with minimal blooming. I don't know where some of the reviews mentioning blooming, but I think the later manufacture date and new firmware necessitate the blooming. I absolutely love this tv. The 85 inch at first seems to big for my room but I got use to it after a few days. Now my brother 75 inch tv looks small lol. This tv is very bright. I just use it on half brightness as the light is blinding at night.

I haven't felt the need to calibrate anything regarding picture. Don't care about the TV speakers because I use full stereo 5.1 out of my Harmon Karden amp. Every bit as good as Oled TV's in my opinion and so much better in bright settings as we often have for viewing conditions. Can't go wrong with this one!

I don’t like how some of the hi res shows look very fake, but this TV allows you to control that by selecting “movie” which makes it look more pleasing to the eye. The operating system is a little clunky but having all the apps loaded to include Apple TV has been great. My only real complaint at this moment is that while is says it has an “anti-glare” screen, it in no way is. You must consider tv placement or, if in my case there is only one place to put the tv, have good blackout curtains. Daytime viewing with the TV set to “Natural” does make it bright enough that watching sports or brighter shows is fine. But any dark scenes you will see the glare. The picture is amazing, super easy setup, Ambient mode is awesome. Totally worth the money.

The picture is bright, colors are on point, and you can see a great picture any where you sit. I have a Bose system hook up for the sound and I can't be happier. Thanks Samsung for making great TV's.
