A great concept but not much cheaper than TLC 3D Nand drives. It was however in stock and good enough price to upgrade from the 1TB EVO Pro and I am happy I did. This is a second drive and have a 1TB EVO for OS system. No possibility to RAID so got this for data drive to work pictures with. Any extra copy times or flash life cycle is irrelevant for this 5 year old PC (3GB/s Sata connection for secondary drive). Was just filling a slot. Drive was solid enough and low heat enough I used pieces of foam and electrical tape to create the hard drive caddy which could not be located for sale.

If you are looking for a secondary drive that is faster than a hard drive but can also keep up with a more premium SSD then this drive is great. Take other reviews that expect this to be a prosumer device with a grain of salt. It is not designed to be used for large file transfers, expecting it to do well in this situation just shows ignorance. If that is your use case and especially if you do it professionally the buy an 860 Pro instead. I use this drive for my large Steam library and it works great for games.

Ok. I have always been skeptical about these hard drives, I found this drive in a good deal state and I made the switch. Ok, So when I got the drive I bumped into a problem which first I didn't have the cable to clone, so I had to order one here. the second bump was when I was ready to transfer I realized that the old drive was larger in gigabytes than this one, but no problem I downloaded a free clone software who gave me the option to clone a larger drive to a small drive. The downside of the process was that it took approximately 6 hours for the process to complete, but boy, if I was happy, My laptop now it takes literally 5 seconds from pressing the power button to full desktop, It is an amazing blast speed.

My "mechanical" hard drive was not acting properly (I was able to back up all of my data luckily) and it finally failed to operate. Took my desktop to Best Buy and the Geek Squad look at it and determined it was "dead" - i.e. the disk had stopped spinning entirely. They gave me the option of a replacement mechanical HD or a Samsung - 860 QVO 2TB Internal SATA Solid State Drive. I went with the Solid State! Quiet, no moving parts, quiet, no heat - cooling fan does not run as near as often as it had previously. Geek Squad installed it, and I was back out the door with a repaired and improved desktop within the hour. Totally satisfied customer!

I have 8 different Samsung SSDs. They work very well, especially when combined with the Samsung Magician utility Windows 10 software. My main Windows desktop has 1 TB 850EVO system disk and this 2TB QVO as the D: drive for files. The other has 512GB Samsung SSD. Having a SSD as the D; drive makes searching for files very fast. I keep system clone backups on Samsung SSDs as well. The system clone SSDs need to be the same physical disk capacity as the original disk for efficient cloning. Samsung Magician makes it very easy to set over provisioning, running diagnostics, and benchmarks.

Excellent for storing games, videos and pictures. Great price to capacity compared to M.2 and so much faster than a mechanical HDD.

This SSD is one of many I have purchased over the last 5 years. I also find them easily to install and I have every one of them I have purchased and they are all still working great. Quad level Nand like this are not as long lived so I am using this one for a purpose where it is not get beat to dead every day and does not contain data that cannot be recreated. The performance is on par with the other SSDs I own and the price to byte ratio is hard to beat.

this arrived so fast they never sent any update texts, it was at my door and I was never told until the next day...maybe imrove that a little, eh? The drive itself installed easily and the cloning worked flawlessly so I now have a superfast boot and drive response times. Recommend to anyone who wants to speed up system, an SSD drive of the same or larger (do Not try to use a smaller SSD if cloning) and a memory upgrade made an aging machine young again!

Got this 2 T SSD on sale at a great price. My old 1T hard drive was packed with 0.85 T of data and, as a result, the laptop was very slow from boot-up to shut-down every day. I was just about to buy a new laptop when a friend told me I should try replacing the hard drive with an SSD. Well, the SSD made my four-year-old laptop act better than when I bought it. All of my software runs much faster now. I definitely recommend this 2T SSD.

Wonderful value for a 2 TB SSD. I was thinking about buying a brand new desktop because mine was getting somewhat old. I decided to replace the hard drive instead. I read the reviews on many 2 TB SSDs. Finally I settled on this one, and I'm happy so say that I don't have any regrets!! My computer is so much faster now. It's a very stable and reliable drive. It was a breeze to migrate everything to this drive. Wonderful value!

Love this ssd drive. 2tb is plenty of storage for now will most likely be adding another one soon. This one i would buy again. It works just as fast as any other drive of its type. Its sata so don't expect nvme speeds but for an extra drive it works great. You could most definitely use this drive as an OS main drive if you dont have nvme drive slots. great product i would recommend and by again.

SSD drives are wonderful especially having a 2 TB size drive. Its a little pricey but its worth it. I don't have to worry about dropping it and loosing all my data. This is where I store all my important data files. I had a mechanical drive before and it started clicking and scared the hell out of me, luckily it recovered and now they are all in my SSD's.

One the fastest SSD on the market. Price per gigabyte is ok, there are other SSD out there that give you same storage capacity for a better price but don't perform as good as this one. If your looking for good performance and want to pay a little extra this one is for you, if this isn't the case and you are looking only for storage capacity you can find better pricing on other brands.

Samsung in the tech community has been known to product the best (fastest & longest lasting) SSD and Solid State memory devices. This product is no exception. Great speed and reliability from a great product. (Ok, now Samsung, where's my free drive? LOL) No but really. It's a great product. It is more expensive that comparable size drives, but in this case, you do get what you pay for.

This drive is very fast and has a lot of storage not just for anyone but if you can afford it I would definitely go with it especially if you’re doing video stuff wish it was a little cheaper but it will be soon hopefully as the price of SSD technology drops great bye would recommend it to anyone it is the best you can probably get

Very easy to install. A large capacity for my Windows 10 OS. FAST !!

This was to change to my desktop data drive from regular drive to SSD. C drive was already Samsung SSD. Samsung is very high quality and I have used them for years with no problems. These higher data sizes 2 tera and above are really nice. A bonus is their speed and reliability. I never consider any other drive. And I always buy at Best Buy because of the service.

Thought I would upgrade to a solid state drive as long as I needed to replace the old one. Well worth the money if you desire a substantial increase in the overall performance of you PC. Boot up time, much faster, application launch time, much faster. No moving parts to fail over time and cooler operating temperatures. I believe I made the right decision.
