    After going through 2 standard hard drives on my Mac book pro I decided to switch to a solid state. Much much faster! Hopefully this lasts a lot longer. Time will tell.

    I use this as my main drive to host my operating system and applications. Boot speeds are super fast and the drive is uber quiet. Highly recommend.

    Great drive. Up to 42gb of transfer is quick but slows a bit after that which is where the evo beats this drive out! Up to that threshold they are equal.

    The 860 QVO performs as expected, but the Samsung Data Migration software has limitations. I used it to clone my laptop hard drive but it could not copy the Dell recovery sector. The Windows 10 operating system can not repair itself. I had to create a Windows 10 boot disk and download a copy of Windows 10 for repairs in case of system failures.

    I have bought Crucial SSDs in the past but have had the occasional issue with them on reliability. The Samsung is more expensive but I trust it over others. They also have a great free clone program if you need to move items to a Windows PC even if the source hard drive is smaller.
