Took abt 15 mins, very easy install, I purchased to increase the storage on my Project Scorpio Xbox. Installing it went well, it fit perfectly, after it prompted me to download a file from Msft’s website and I reinstalled the OS, I immediately noticed how much faster the Xbox became. Well worth it!

For 2TB of SSD storage, the price was hard to beat at the time. It was essentially down to QVO vs EVO, which the numbers on the EVO's perspective weren't enough of an improvement to justify the 2x price tag. I use this as a Steam library drive and so far I have no complaints!

I know it will drop off when it fills up; part of the reason I wanted 2TB so I didn't have to worry about that for a long time, and I haven't had to yet. It's just as fast as my Intel NVMe drive of similar quality, and I'm happy with it so far. Now I just need a bigger offsite backup solution :)

I bought this with the intention of storing my NATIVE INSTRUMENTS Contents without have to use up my internal 500gb hard drive. It works like charm! Very fast. NI MASCHINE 2.0 has no problem playing back the sounds from the ssd! Forgot to mention I installed this in a hard drive enclosure to run in externally!

My laptop is 6 years old, and was custom built for my DJ and audio production business. It came spec’d with a 500G Samsung EVO SSD. This 2T 860 EVO is a necessary upgrade in storage capacity. I’ve had amazing results with every one of my 3 Samsung internal SSD’s, and wouldn’t consider a different manufacturer unless It was for a backup computer and they were almost giving them away. I use this as my Local System drive, and its as good as most people will ever need. The Samsung Data Migration app cloned the new drive directly from my 500G drive so I didn’t even have to reload anything. It was all switched over “plug and play”. HUGE improvement over having to reload the operating system and all installed programs. The prices are falling and Solid state drives have no moving parts. That means longer lifespan and faster data. Samsung is the widely recognized industry leader for a good reason...they’re the best in the business for the price, hands down!

My platter drive was getting tired & was looking for more speed. This had good reviews and strong reputation. I'm happy with its performance and cut boot times to 1/20th of previous best time. Transfer software was straight forward. Would recommended this drive to anyone.

Great deal on an SSD upgrade for my older laptop's failing traditional spin up drive. Was a great deal at just over $200 and works like a dream. Very pleased with purchase. No issues integrating into our laptop, loads faster than it ever dreamed of doing in the past. Recommend.

Installation note: This does not come with any SATA. Please make sure that the case your're installing this into has slots for 2.5" (2.5 inch) drives or that the laptop allows you to replace the drives. There are 2.5" drive to 3.5" drive converter slots which can help you install this into your chassis/case. This is a very fast drive for the money while not being as fast as the EVO series or NVME M.2 drives, it's still a great value as any SSD would be dramatically faster than any HDD. Currently using this as a boot drive for Windows 10 and to store many games. Loading times are drastically cut down and boot times are still just as fast compared to my smaller Samsung 240GB 860 EVO. This drive also comes with a three year warranty that will start when you register the product via Samsung's webiste or through the manufacture date if you can't register it.

My original hard drive was near capacity on my Alienware and I wanted an upgrade in the process. This Samsung was just what I need. 2TB of very fast memory has my computer running circles around it’s old spinning drive. Wish I would have made the switch sooner.

I needed a bigger hard drive that makes no noise. This SSD is perfect for my needs. It was easy to pull out my old hard drive and install Windows 10 on it. 2TB is just enough space for all my stuff. These drives are very dependable.

This ssd is an easy way to speed up older laptops saddled with mechanical hard drives. The drive is very quick and makes an older laptop....particularly an older top tier unit......perform almost equally to newer machines.

When it comes to an SSD I always buy Samsung, reliable, fast and considered the best in the market. Have never had a failure or a compatibility issue. Replace your tired spinning disk with an SSD and its like an entirely new computer.

Dropped this into my laptop as a secondary drive to hold my game library. Works perfectly and provides a great capacity per $ value. Would def. suggest this and will likely get more for super fast dense storage.

This drive is faster than the EVO 1tb, and has a better cache, on the EVO my downloads folder would often take a moment to reload, on here, it does not. The only downside to this drive is if doing video editing it can get bogged down, but this is primarily if you do 4k; if you aren't doing that, I've actually seen an increase in performance vs the evo 1tb even in video editing applications. the write and read speeds are slightly better overall; but the bandwidth can get bogged down if you have an intensive process running, due to it being QFlash it may disappoint some, but it does not disappoint me for my use.

Speed is on par with (if not faster than) other inexpensive SSDs. Was recognized in BIOS, and in disk management. If you are cloning another disk over, the Samsung Data Migration program works like a charm.

I purchased this to increase my storage and hopefully make my notebook run better. It runs 10 times faster and better. Actually better than when the PC was brand new. Very fast to boot. Great purchase for the price.

This has worked almost perfectly in my old Lenovo Thinkpad laptop. It's quiet, reliable, and fast. (Booting up, starting programs, and other operations are all noticeably faster the the SSD than with the spinning disk.) There is one annoyance: The computer can no longer restart without powering off. If you tell it to "restart" it shuts down, but the subsequent reboot acts as if the drive has disappeared. The only way to recover is to power cycle the laptop. This hasn't been too big a problem because restarts (particularly un-attended restarts are very rare.) I'm not penalizing it in this review because I don't know if the problem is with the drive or with my laptop.
