One of the two we bought of these actually worked correctly. Samsung 870 EVO have been a favorite drive (we have used many) and with the Microsoft boot sector viruses so often found (easy fix) we thought we might try "Refurbished" at about 1/2 regular price. 2nd drive reported a growing number of "bad sectors" and would not recover the sectors with low format (showing defective hardware). Best Buy was great about the return, but this taught us about this experiment with "refurbished"... Buy new when it counts, for us we don't have the time to waste on testing and returns!

I have always had a great experience with Samsung Storage and in fact have a 870 evo m.2 in my current build as well. Reliability when it comes to storage is very important and Samsung provides a solid solution.
