Replacement was straightforward and relatively painless. Software worked well, and I was back in business with a new SSD in short order.

There are no screws or mounting equipment with it, so you may have to get that separately if you don’t already have it.

Also, please know that these drives are not delivered with mounting screws since motherboard manufacturers typically provide the specific screws and spacers that fit the proprietary needs of each motherboard.

I haven’t noticed performance improvement of this 870 model over a model 860 1TB drive. In fact seeing some things run slower. Will need to investigate further.
