Hoop jumping and third party software necessary to accomplish. I ended up replacing a secondary drive with this one.

Sent to one of the top professional data recovery companies and they were not able to retrieve the data due to Samsung's heavy encryption. 15 years of important data files and family photos GONE forever, as well as $100 for the price of the SSD. Waste of money and a devastating loss. Would NOT recommend unless you can afford the risk of losing your data.
