I purchased this for my dad to upgrade and fix his slightly older computer that was still using the then standard mechanical hard drive so before I installed it I needed to clean the system, update the drivers, and install additional system updates before cloning his mechanical hard drive. This is the best upgrade to do if your laptop begins to get seriously slow and I also fix computers so I know.

My boyfriend picked this up and now he hasn’t had any complaints, PERFECT for me as no one wants to hear or go through “gaming problems” . Would get this again!

My slightly aging laptop was performing badly. I brought the laptop to Geek Squad. After performing diagnostics, it was determined that the hard drive was the problem. They replaced it with the Samsung Internal SSD. The laptop is like new! Easy fix. Great product!

Works as described. Easy to set up. Like it better than the different cloud storage systems because I am in control, not an algorithm running the cloud. I can also take it to another computer and access my files.

Worked as expected for my mom. Her PC isn't that old, just configured cheaply with a known-bad model of Seagate that HP liked to use. On it's own, the SSD increased the speed quite a bit (10x) and then getting her ram beyond 4GB eliminated the last bottleneck for the PC to operate as you'd expect. Samsung makes a good product, don't settle for something less.

Working great. Really sped up the computer. Michael did a great job of diagnosing the problem and suggested a reasonable fix.

My Dell Inspiron notebook seemed to be running slower and slower. I decided to try swapping in an SSD for the OEM hard drive. It turned out to be literally the easiest upgrade ever, particularly with the Samsung software (free download) that I used to clone the HDD. I can’t believe how fast the PC now boots and loads software. It was the best upgrade decision I ever made…
