So far so good. IT at work suggested buying a new hard drive to extend the life of my laptop. He was kind enough to install it and copy everything over. My laptop works like a new one again!

Best 2.5" SATA SSD you can get. It comes with free cloning software and all you need is a SATA to USB cable to clone your old mechanical HDD to the new SSD.

I was able to fit like 4 whole games on it. Now sure, a hard drive for the same price could fit like 8 games on it... but you would spend years on the loading screen, so this SSD already paid for itself.

I purchased a 500 GB and a 1 TB used the same line off the power supply, nothing. The 1 TB worked from the start. Try the 500 on a second computer nothing. Exchanged the bad on for another same story. Decided to give it on more try. The 3rd one worked the way I expected the first two should have.
