It being only a month since the drive arrived, this review isn't definitive. But so far this SSD is no slouch when it comes to read and write times. Obviously it isn't an M.2 or anything, but the operating system starts up super quick (especially compared to my Kingston SSD I got in 2016). This was also cheaper than the 860 QVO at the time, so if that happens to be the case when you're looking to buy it, might as well go for it.

It works great and I'll definitely recommend this to friends.

The newest Jen on the QVO series and it did not let down. but so what's what's the one for it's almost 570 megabytes per second Read and about 530 write. Highly recommend you can use it as an external for your Xbox one x/s or an internal and a laptop works great for anything very fast highly recommended Especially for $99

If I can give this more than 5 stars , I would. It was the best thing i did for my 6 year old laptop. My laptop was running super slow and freezing up all the time because of the old hard drive. Now its like brand new. No slowing down or freezing up. All my actions are instantaneous. Zero lag!!! Thos ssd is awesome and well worth the money!

fast, reliable, and easy to install with mac mini hub

I cloned and replaced a 5400 RPM hard drive in a laptop with the Samsung QVO SSD It tremendously increased the performance of the laptop.

I converted my PS4 to this digital drive. It made the PS4 much faster especially on power up. Good product I recommend it's use

This is going to be replacing my non solid state hardrive in my laptop and at same time doubling its capacity . I might see if i can make it a dual boot drive so i can run Linux also . I have not used this one yet but have used a similar from same manufacturer and have never had any problems . I am hoping to get more battery life out of it at same time , along with a much improved shut down and start up speed. I am also a photographer and need the extra room for all the pictures , so next year i will probably be buying another one ! Possibly even bigger if windows 10 can take it ?

This SSD replaced a damaged Xb1 1T HDD. A total of 500G was downloaded back to the SSD and overnight it was all ready to play in the SSD, that was fast! With old HDD full games of 50G or 60G took all night. Highly recommended for XB1.

Installed this in my asus laptop instead of the HDD. Works perfectly. I feel like my laptop is even faster now with the OS booting from an SSD. No complaints. 6 months and still no issues

Easy to install using existing hardware and screws. Much Faster than previous hard drive. I just order two more to replace other hard drives in notebooks. Glad the price was deal as well

Great hard drive for a decent computer. No need to get the super fast ones if your computer doesn't need it. I bought this to replace my WD blue and I'm loving it.

This is my second QVO and im not a big storage buff with the read/write and transfer rates because I mainly use these devices for gaming when it comes to large open world games. I will say it has not failed me and when transferring complete game data, it is much quicker than an HDD but thats a given at this point. Aesthetically speaking, my first QVO had a matted dark gray finish and the second one had more of a blue gray with metallic finish so it had the flecks you would see in metallic finish vehicles. Id buy again, more so a 4tb when prices go down.

I was a bit hesitant replacing my old 1TB laptop HDD with this, but all went well first try. Best thing I could have done to improve my laptop performance. Not only does my laptop feel like new, it feels even better than when it first purchased. All it took was a quick Youtube video to follow along. Unfortunately, I no longer have the time to make a nice cup of earl grey milk tea before my computer completely starts up now; startup a lot faster. Also great for loading in those pesky Steam, Spotify, and Razer Synapse Programs that usually took around three minutes to begin to run after startup.

This was something I ordered for my boyfriend. His laptop is working a lot faster than before and it’s really helped him out with his work!
