Bought this to replace my old Seagate HDD and have had no issues. These have come down so much in price since I initially bought mine making these a super compelling buy. I've had no issues with the drive.

Having previously upgraded my laptop from a HDD to a SSD, I already had a SATA to USB cable. Since I was planning to upgrade a desktop this time, I purchased a 3.5" to 2.5" adapter for this SSD. Samsung's Magician software makes the data transfer from the HDD to the SSD easy. The SSD is a noticeable improvement in speed over my old HDD. My hesitancy to give it 5 stars concerns endurance. My understanding is that the QVO model doesn't last as long as the EVO version. I do (on occasion) work with videos (which apparently can shorten the life). I got this on sale so I decided to take a chance. I've only had it a month, but so far it's good.

Fast. Easy to install. Lots of storage. Works as it should.

Extremely fast and easy to install. Better to have higher storage capacity and not need it then it is to need it and not have it, although, it can start getting pretty pricey.

I was needed to replace another SSD from other brand that was giving errors and I was almost out of space. So I went to my local store to get a Samsung SSD. Easy to install, installed "Samsung Magician" to monitor and set up additional parameters. It has an excellent performance and I hope it gives me many years of service.

One of the things that I do almost daily is replace older mechanical drives with SSDs. Samsung is the gold standard in SSD devices and is the only brand I install in my personal devices. FWIW, I install these Samsung drives in as many Linux systems as I do Windows computers and they work great with both OSs.

I noticed on the performance monitor on windows that the c drive was always 100% -- so it was the weakest link. Got the Samsung SSD and replaced C drive with (Used CloneZilla bootable USB to transfer data) and bammm! Now computer about 5 times faster and CPU is always 100% so now it's the weakest link. But it's super fast so that's ok.

Excellent product. I had my son help install this on my computer and it really makes a big difference. My computer starts up so much faster now. Definitely worth it if you can upgrade to this. Just make sure you purchase the right software and cable you need to copy your info over from your old drive to this one.

Got this on sale for $180. That is an incredible value for a Samsung 870 Evo SSD. It really flys. I've installed a few of these in 2014 Mac Mini's and it improved the boot speed to less than 10 seconds. I'd say this SSD is a great option if you're looking for speed and capacity without breaking the bank,

Fast. Large capacity, Samsung quality.Painless install.

Wanted to replace a failing hard drive in my laptop with a larger solid state drive. The Samsung SSDs were recommended to me. After installing the SSD, my laptop starts up faster and seems to run programs quicker. I am glad to make the switch. Only time will tell how reliable the Samsung SSD is.
