This storage drive is phenominal. It is super fast and, like all other nvme ssds, it is very easy to install. I purchased this on sale for black friday when it was $50 off but I would still probably buy it at regular price.

These are a great value for the money. Love Samsung's performance in ssd's. Remember they are Evo's not the Pro line so more cost effective but not the high end.

My laptop's old internal hard drive had some issues one day, making the laptop un-useable. With the help of Geek Squad's recommendation, I replaced my old one with this 1TB Internal Drive and it has been awesome. ever since! I do have a fairly older model laptop but ever since the replacement, my laptop has been working as if it is brand new again and the amount of storage is perfect for my work!

    NVMe SSD Pretty Easy

It works quite effectively so far and was pretty easy to install, even for a first-timer with NVMe drives. You simply need to unscrew the cap of a small peg-like screw, place the SSD at a 45-degree angle, press it down so that the peg and divot align (and the SSD lies flat), and screw the cap to fasten it. From there, you just make sure that the drive is recognized and apportioned properly. A great and pretty easy upgrade for any desktop.

Works as advertised, super glad the prices for NVME SSDs are cheap enough and we have plenty of PCIE lanes that we no longer need to use spinning rust in builds.

My PC only had 256 GB of SSD, and I didn’t know how fast that would fill up. This additional 1 TB is a lifesaver, especially considering the speed at which it reads everything.

having a laptop with short space isn't really good by most of the newest games because they use most of the space but adding 1tb of space helps a lot it was cheap when I got it and its really helpful

Best M.2 PCIe for the price

Best purchase for the price you can get. If you still have an HD or SSD hard drive as your main unit, I highly recommend upgrading to this M.2. The difference in speed is staggering and with 1TB of storage space, all of your primary programs can be ran without having to make space. The difference in read/write speeds compared to the previous alone makes this purchase worth it

I had an open M2 slot on my Asus motherboard so I did a lot of research as to which drive I wanted to install. If you check around you will see that this drive even though its getting old is still one of the fastest for the Gen 3x4 drives. Also I have used these in the past and the Samsung Magician software provides more information on the health of the drive than the competitors. You can save a few bucks on another drive but without the software you operate in the blind. With the Samsung you can quickly see how healthy the drive is and how its functioning which makes a big difference to me.

I was super excited to get this, I'm a mostly hardcore gamer with a 144Hz Gsync that is sensitive to input delay and refresh rates. I expected my socks to be knocked off the first time my PC booted and I did some general task stuff. Honestly? You can benchmark all you want, but there is 0 perceivable difference between an nvme and a Sata3 SSD outside of moving gigantic files. Your games will maybe load 1 second faster. OS maybe boots slightly faster, but who does that? The only thing I can objectively tell is different is I can move and delete huge files instantly. Perhaps it is more effective for someone who is doing 4K video editing. If you're a gamer or just average user, just buy a regular SSD. Trust me.

This is one of those items that's on the shelf next to a "similar" drive that's half the price and you really wonder "it costs twice as much, is it worth it". Well, I took the leap and yes, worth it. More than doubled the storage benchmark on my system that was already running an NVMe M.2 SSD. Windows 10 reinstalled in a couple minutes. It's fast! Steam downloaded games very quickly to it and I was back to playing games and running office within an hour. One thing, check your M.2 connector. Some machines have a connector that's keyed differently. Make sure your machine can really handle NVMe.
