Memory glut means that SSDs are cheaper than ever, so why not splurge? For the money, it is a great budget drive with cache. Great performance for the money for those on a budget.

I bought it as an additional drive to my rig. I am using Samsung 970pro 512G as my primary drive. To my surprise, this middle range TLC based 970 EVO plus is as fast as the high end 970 Pro, in some field, even faster. The durability of 1T version is as good as 512G 970 pro, as 600 TBW. Would strongly recommended to others.

Installed this under the heatsink on my motherboard. I use this drive daily for heavy gaming and it has performed flawlessly!

Put this in my 2015 MacBook Pro and the performance of my laptop improves tremendous. The laptop is more responsive and uploads so much faster.

This is one fast drive its like night and day after putting my operating system on this drive over my old 7200 rpm hard drive. Probably way more speed than ill ever need for my day to day use but its nice to have. Love the Samsung Magician software to see drive performance, drive temps, and drive health its really helpful

Upgraded my computer SSD with this 1TB SSD and it is absolutely phenominal. Highly recommend to anyone who is looking to expand their internal memory. I've always been a fan of the Samsung SSD, but the 970 Evo plus has been nothing short of a high performing upgrade to my daily computer for work.

This drive would have been a dream to install except that it does not include the required mounting screw! Unfortunately Best Buy also does not sell them. I had to go to a computer repair shop to find one, as I could not find one in any hardware store. The drive has functioned well so far, and seems to be faster than the disc drive my PC was built with.

Received the product via curbside pick-up. Item cost a little more than it would have via online ordering, but I was assured of getting a brand-new item (Amazon purchasers of the same item have occasionally been scammed when prior purchasers return their "item" with a cheaper product substituted for it -- for instance, a 256GB 860 EVO instead of the 1TB 970 EVO+ -- so that they get credited for returning the 1TB item whilst unloading a cheaper item. Since the seller apparently doesn't check capacities and just verified the presence of the drive with the appropriate sticker on it and that the device is functional (detected) when an item is returned, and rather than sending it back to Samsung as non-salable puts it back in inventory, it's resulting in a significant number of very unhappy customers getting defrauded and having to return their purchase(s) as well. In short, buying locally from a Best Buy sometimes IS the best choice to ensure that you're actually receiving a new-in-sealed-factory-packaging product rather than some fraudster's cast-offs.

been using Samsung for any pc storage solutions for years and its not let me down yet. this one was a nice alternative to other ones i saw when on sale

Make sure that the sdd is compatible with your computer and its a 1000 times better than what i had before. it runs better and everything is 90% faster.

I am coming to an NVMe SSD for the first time. I had always used SSDs from Samsung before this and I didn't think this would be that big of an upgrade. Man is this thing fast... the boot time is incredible and loading screens seem to be a thing of the past.

This harddrive changed the way I compute. From the power button until I'm in Chrome or Word is approximately 10 seconds. Samsung’s 970 EVO Plus can dish out up to 3.5GB/s of sequential read performance and up to a staggering 3.3GB/s write. It also delivers up to 620,000/560,000 random read/write IOPS.

Was waiting for a motherboard and cpu to come in before buying the rest of my parts and ended up having them delivered early. I picked this up based on the reviews on PC part picker and several other sites and surprisingly found Best Buy had the best price. I placed the order through the app and picked up at the store an hour later. My pc was up and running that same day. This was my first nvme drive so I was really surprised with the ease of install and the performance. I was looking to mirror my current Windows install but opted for a clean install which only took a few minutes. Highly recommend

I purchased this for my Nitro 5 17-inch laptop. Works incredibly well! Installation was straightforward - I didn't even have to remove the original 515 GB SSD. The computer immediately recognized the new SSD. Now I no longer have to worry about running out of storage space. Highly recommended!

Added this to my Asus GL502V and set it as my primary drive and... wow, immense upgrade. My Asus came with a stock HDD and I was dealing with painfully slow booting time for everything. The 970 EVO Plus is FAST. Night and day difference from my HDD and best purchase I have made in a long time.

Great price, speed and reliability of a Samsung m.2!

You get what you pay for. My system starts up faster than my monitor can turn on. I only game with my system but loading screens really are a thing of the past. My motherboard has a heat sink and shroud for the m.2 which I don’t know if it is needed or not but you should look into that.
