I bought this ssd knowing pretty much what I was going to get, it's lightning fast, super easy (at least for me) to migrate certain programs and Windows 10 as a whole to it. I was going to purchase a different brand from which I will not name but decided on the Samsung 970 Evo plus and I am not one bit disappointed! From a "cold start" to the main home screen I clocked this numerous times and the slowest time was a mere 5.1 seconds and this is including touching the power button I have even faster boot times then that, now this WILL vary dependent upon your type of pc/laptop and age/hardware etc..but if you own anything older this will bring your machine to LIFE with a simple 5-10 minute install, the longest time was me having to take out 12 small screws on the bottom of my laptop! I definitely recommend this product to anyone! What are you waiting for?

I used to have an hhd and this was an upgrade since it’s faster and more durable

I had upgrade my HP Envy X360 to the Samsung EVO Plus and now my laptop is super fast. I didn't think replacing my m.2 SSD was going to make a difference... but WOW was I wrong. It's worth the upgrade. My read and write went from 500MB/s to 3500MB/s. The SSD swap took me about 10 mins and reinstalling Windows 10 was about 10 mins. It's a WIN WIN!

This is the best NVME SSD you can buy from a brick-and-mortar store. If you want the best, you found it! I’ve ready plenty of other reviews and watch videos on NVME SSD comparisons and there is no comparison to the rest. If it’s on sale, it’s a no brainer to get this. I’m currently using it as a boot drive for Windows 10 pro. If you want to use this for other things like storing programs, files, and games, you should probably go for the larger 1TB option so it lasts longer. OMG! what can I say. This little beast is so super fast, boots my pc in a few seconds. Before this I had a Intel 660p NVME and I thought that was fast. It died on me so I got the 970 Evo plus and it blows it out of the water. Dont let yourself get lied to by tech youtubers telling you that the difference wont be noticeable with the samsung and other brands. Trust me there is a difference. I might be a little on the expensive side but you get what you paid for. BUY IT NOWW!!!!!!!

Best 250GB ssd you can get for the price, SLC caching and DRAM cache mean that this ssd will take heavier write loads where other ssds will quit. If you dont know, the actual memory on ssds (the chips) can only write so fast. That memory is a buffer to smooth things out, same with SLC caching. SSDs without DRAM (usually other cheap options) can slow down during software installs, updates or file transfers to the point where they are worse than some hard drives. Fine for some people, but not recommended. Get these at this price while you can and avoid the other cheap junk.

Great product. The difference wasn't as noticeable as the upgrade from a spinning hard drive to a SATA SSD, but it is still a good upgrade. Especially at clearance prices. There are newer faster NVMe drives than this but I doubt that the performance difference would be noticeable. Samsung's migration software makes the upgrade painless.

I've had this in a Raspberry PI running 24/7 for well over a year now. No problems so far.

Using this a boot drive for Windows 10 Pro. Computer boots and is ready to go in 15 seconds with this. Applications launch instantly. These drives are so easy to use. The convenience of only have to plug this drive into a single slot instead of using a sata cable and power cable makes it even more worth it.

The product was easy to install out of the package. Boots very quickly and efficiently. Runs cool.

I have used this drive for two different computer builds now as the main drive for the operating system. I would highly recommend this as the speed is much greater than a standard SSD. Boot time is much shorter and system performance has a noticeable improvement. I just load operating system and important system files on this and install a second SSD for storage. Highly recommend!!

The Samsung 970 Evo NVMe makes computing a better experience because it is fast. Just make sure your motherboard can accept it. A major plus is that Samsung will provide migration software on their website that's easy to use. Samsung is also known for being reliable and for computing this is important.

Easy to use and install great quality super fast!!

i built a new desktop for my office and used a spare hdd i had laying around. I bought one of these drives to replace the hdd. Huge difference in boot time and performance. Used samsung data transfer to clone old drive, installed it in asus prime B450M-A mobo and it booted 1st time with no problem. Very pleased with the drive.

I wanted this unit to be able to rebuild my Windows 10 laptop without losing my system drive and apps "just in case". After determining that this drive was compatible with my Acer Aspire laptop, and would possibly be faster by at least 3X, I tried it. The tricky part was that the Windows 10 image that I was using would not install to this drive because it was formatted with a MBR. However, I was successful when I launched the image from a USB stick and chose to "repair" Windows, even though there was no Windows present. However, the "Troubleshoot" option allowed me to go to a command line prompt from which I could convert this drive to the proper type of boot instead of MBR. Windows then installed quickly and cleanly. As a bonus, disk benchmarking showed that it is indeed 3-4X faster that the previous 860EVO drive. And, it's faster in the real world too.

Extremely fast drive. Samsung sets the bar for SSD technology. They are pricey but you get what you pay for. This isn't my first purchase of this model, I have one that has seen 24/7 use for over a year with no issues at all. These drives do get hot so you want to have good circulation.

Super fast SSD without spending as much as a pro. I would spend a little more and get a higher capacity if you plan on gaming. The games are getting huge these days. If you are coming from a mechanical hard drive the boot time will blow your mind.

Got this to go into a 500 GB laptop i had to expand storage & help speed up bootup & load times. Was going to replace the hdd with an ssd but never could get it to. This helped speed up the bootup & load times some.
