Customers find value in the 970 EVO Plus 250GB SSD's impressive performance, ease of use, and significantly reduced boot times. Many appreciate its straightforward installation and the compact size, although some feel the price is high for the storage capacity. Positive feedback also highlights the reliable performance typical of Samsung SSDs. The drive's relatively cool operating temperature is another frequently cited advantage.

I upgraded from a sandisk solid state drive plus to this and wow what a difference. This thing is about 5 times as fast as the sandisk plus was and it is so small. Love it, and it's well worth the price.

Works - not sure why haven't really care enough to look into it yet because it may be my motherboard, but i have 2 of these and one of them is 500gb. The 500GB one writes the same, but reads faster / and it's randoms are faster.
Yes i did notice a difference in speed compared to the 2.5inch SSD's. Samsung is always my prefer SSD's
Make sure you own or buy a little magnet screwdriver lol would have made my life easier....
I will update 6m-1y if not sooner if anything goes wrong or to let you readers if it's still going strong!

I was looking for an SSD for my build and a streamer I follow bought the 500 Gb version, so I bought the step down from that one and it still works the same. This is a great buy and great place to store Windows on besides your internal hard drive.

If you have a newer motherboard with m.2 connector, you need to get one of these is like 3 times the speed of sad drives, make sure to use it as your operating system drive, and other programs that you use often.

There's not much to say about this product other than that Samsung, in my opinion, is the leading contender for nvme and ssd in general purely for reliability and overall performance.
There are periodically better speeds with other products but realizing this speed in actual usage is very unlikely to be perceptible unless you are transferring a large volume of data.
Overall I've been using Samsung ssd's the past few years and I don't regret it one bit. Friends often inquire what brand to use and I always recommend Samsung. Especially for a main/OS drive. Be sure to still do your homework on benchtests and overall reviews. If you're simply looking for a somewhat faster storage option for less money you may be better off with a different brand.

Upgrading from an older SATA drive, this NVMe drive is light years quicker than my old drive. Boot-up has been nearly cut in half and launches programs quickly if installed on this drive.

No performance problems. Reads and writes at a great speed as long as your motherboard supports it. I use it for my boot drive and my PC boots at approximately less than 30 seconds.

Blazing fast NVMe drive in the M.2 form factor. The only gripe I had was the screws needed to install were not included. Kits are available online for $6 that includes all screwdrivers. Installs at about 30 degree angle then the screw pushes it into place. Computer did not recognize immediately you have to configure settings to show that a new drive has been installed and you would like to use it. Once set up all cache files and scratch disks were thrown on this drive and boy oh boy did photoshop have a heyday. Games running smooth as butter (not all about GPU folks). Even micro level tasks opening and closing file explorer and general UI became faster by a good margin.

Faster boot up, faster loading menu's/files/applications, adding an SSD makes your computer operate smoother and this Samsung one is just about the best one on market

Installed in my custom PC build running Windows 10. Using Samsung's Magician software, the sequential read/write speeds are fast and spot on to what is advertised. System is quick to boot and programs load lickity split. Pretty cool but I don't really feel much of a difference coming from the SATA cabled solid state drive I was using before. $60 at the time was a good deal and meant no pesky cables to worry about routing.

Recently bought this NVME drive while on sale during Black Friday as an extra drive to install windows on and it serves its purpose flawlessly. The 250 GB is great to use as a boot drive. Games these days are getting bigger so I wouldn’t recommend it as a dedicated game drive as you will run out of storage very soon (for instance COD Cold War is about 100+ GB). If it goes on sale again I would highly recommend it as a boot drive and free up space elsewhere on your setup.
