Very speedy and they run cooler in laptops than the non plus variants. The 250GB model is slower overall than the 500GB and especially the 1TB model, but still heads and tails above SATA/mSATA for most uses.

I had decently high exceptions for this little guy and man oh man it lived up to them.. so fast boot up and response times. i wont build a computer without one again. turned my 20-30 second boot up into 3 sec no joke see the splash screen and count to 3 and it si ready for my password... amazing

I am very impressed with this drive. I have an older system I wanted to upgrade a bit before putting a lot of money in to a new system. I wanted new tech for my old rig, but that could be transfered to a new system. This is so quick compared to even my SATA solid state drive.

This M.2 gave new life to my Y700 that I bought 4 years ago. Was easy to install and with the current technologies in Windows 10 getting my computer back up and running was seamless. WoW also runs great on this and feels like a whole new game with the faster load times.

Are Nvme drives overkill for gaming? Probably. But I’m using it for that and it seems to work very well. windows also loads much faster when using this a boot drive.

I have my Windows 10 OS and game launchers installed on this drive. My computer is awake and ready to go before my monitors even turn on. This drive is a must-have to get that 2019 PC feel.

I had a HP NVME M.2 SSD that was only 3 months old but causing me all kinds of problems. I usually buy online, but I saw Best Buy had as good a price as anywhere else and after the BSOD that 'broke my back I went there and got this. I am very happy! Thanks Best Buy, no more BSOD!

I replaced my failing Adata sx8200 with this and wow!! The speed difference just in fluidity is insane. The Samsung software took 2:09 to clone my current drive. Plus best buy best Amazon on price and shipping time. Kudos to them. Will buy from them again.

It was between this and the WD that was on sale, but honestly i Trust Samsung evo's more. Installed in 3 seconds to the board, but did not come with a screw, My case came with it instead, this may be normal, but my first M2 install.

Wow, what a blazing fast card! Used this for my Synology NAS and it has been great. Zero problems. I need a second one for Reading the material now that it's been Written.

Installed it as a boot drive for my laptop that originally only had an hdd. It's super fast and responsive, pretty much a game changer for my laptop. Prone to get a little hot, but that's kinda just the case with laptops anyways.

I had to return this as the 970 Plus will not work in OSX (new APFS) at the current time. If you are building a hackintosh you need to stick to a 960 or get the 970Pro version. Samsung is aware of this issue. If you need this for Windows or Linux it is a great little drive.

First thing to know about this SSD drive is that it is the M.2 form factor. This is different from the more common 2.5" form factor for traditional SSD drives...and only more recent computers will have the M.2 interface for this SSD drive. So before you purchase it for an existing computer, make sure your computer supports the M.2 form factor for SSD drives. If so, then I would highly recommend this one. This is the 970 EVO "Plus" model, and it is noticeably faster than the "regular" 970 EVO (I have one of these in another identical laptop). Both are super fast and work perfectly, so either one will be fine, but the PLUS is faster. Make sure to follow manufacturer install instructions as there are various bios settings that maximize the speed and effectiveness of the drive. Overall I would not hesitate to purchase again!

With better performance, efficiency, and lower MSRPs, Samsung’s 970 EVO Plus is a big "plus" in almost every way over its predecessor. It rivals its bigger brother, the 970 PRO, and comes with a complete software suite, making the Samsung 970 EVO Plus a great buy.

A very fast hard drive for the new pc I got. I’m using an x570 board with this nvme drive. At the time the price was great for the storage. Just wish I would have upgraded the storage to min of 512. But fast and just works.

Currently running my OS on this and when I ran a benchmark when I copied my windows over it showed a stable 11.6 GIG read speed fresh out of the box, games load instantly and my computer starts as soon as I press the power button, seriously impressed. 10/10

Good packaging and arrived fast. I do wish it came with a screw since my motherboard did not have one. Easy to install and runs great.

Got it on sale and is a great upgrade for my alienware m15 laptop. Boots up very fast. Bestbuy made it convenient for me since they have it in store and i can get my hands on it right away.

A must-have for any new computer build. Exponentially increases computer speed when Windows 10 is installed on a M.2 NVMe drive. I have Samsung EVO Pluses running in 2 computers, and both are very snappy and responsive.
