These things, and seemingly, this one especially, run hot. My mobo has an NVME SSD heatsink, and even with that, my SSD almost hits 70C during extended, high volume read/write periods. In normal use it runs a bit less than 50C, which I think is just fine. Definite, noticeable improvement in read/write performance compared to my last, non-NVME SSD, recommend if you have a mobo with an NVME heatsink and good case air flow.

Excellent, fast drive with a lot of room

Have never installed an m.2 drive but it was simple. Samsung software to clone drive worked like a charm. Drive is quick and Windows loads swiftly. I am not too big in read/write speeds or benchmarks but things appear to be a tad quicker than my previous drive. I have had good past experiences with Samsung drives so I am confident reliability will be good.

It was extremely easy, made an image of the old drive, swapped in this one, restored the image, used Disk Manager to add the extra 1TB as a secondary drive (didn't want to expand the primary, although I could have), and all is good. I don't notice any difference in speed and the CrystalDiskInfo benchmark agrees.

Great Value - Quick Drive

Games launch slightly quicker than with a SATA SSD, but for a similar price and not needing to manage cables, this is very much worth it. It was actually cheaper than the same size SATA drive! Yes, it definitely faster, but games are not going to show the full extent of its speed. Temps are nothing to worry about even under heavy loads (moving large game files, patching installs, etc.) Great purchase.

I had it installed by Geek Squad which was quick and easy. They bumped my stock 1 GB M.2 drive to the D: position.
