Normal users cannot even tell the difference between this and the 980. Even by test, 980 only runs less than 5% faster. It is all just a numbers bragging rights. IRL, those doesn't mean anything. Just get this specially when it goes on sale.

Great storage and software (Samsung Magician software for SSDs). Amazing value for your desktop and laptop!

Great SSD Drive

My computer now starts up significantly faster that is tied before and the Samsung magician software helps me keep tabs on the drive health. Overall it was a great purchase to revitalize an old computer.

Just get it if your motherboard supports the specific keying on the bottom (as in, it's looking for a PCIe 3.0 x4 module, not a SATA NVMe module). Fixed all problems in my Dell micro form factor pc.

Its been great, ridiculous speeds, easy install, and overall fanatastic product..

Solid State - You need this

This one is fantastic. I installed my first SSD years ago and it is must to every new computer that I buy or recommend. Get it. Do not hesitate.

Excellent for gaming and will load up games really fast! Also good for other reasons such as video editing. Overall It's one of the best SSD's out there!!

This thing is great and really expanded my laptop storage. Buy it if you are on the edge because it’s nice not worrying about filling my storage on the main drive.

Solid performance and rock solid reliability

I could not find the 990EVO at the time and I bought this for a workstation in my office. This system is in use 24/7/365 and this SSD has held up with flying colors. Yes it is not the fastest but it has not generated any errors to date.
