Samsung Gold Standard for SSDs

They are reliable and last forever, though they are priced on the higher end. This one does run fairly warm and does drop speed if it gets more than 70% full, but not noticeably different from other SSDs.

PCIe 3.0 drive at intersection of storage and cost

You get the benefits of an NVMe drive (being faster than a SATA drive and significantly faster than a platter drive) at the best cost to performance ratio. I've got a PCIe 4.0 drive for my boot and main drive, but you don't need that for mass storage of video, pictures, and Office programs and utilities. So this gives you a place to store all of that data, at a better cost, than a PCIe 4.0 drive.
