Fast SSD to add to my desktop and it really speeds up the computer.

Installed this on my ASUS G531GT laptop, replacing the Intel 660p 512GB it came with. Installation was simple, I wasn't going to clone my existing drive, so I made a windows 11 usb boot drive, removed my old nvme, installed the new one and closed the case on my laptop. Plugged in the usb and turned it on, computer instantly asked me to install or repair windows, I installed it and it took less than 5 minutes to get to the desktop screen. Everything works perfectly. In regards to the thermal pads.. None seem to be required. I downloaded and reinstalled 200GB+ of games, updated all the drivers and played a game after downloading for about 3 hours. Samsung Magician Software (Extremely recommend downloading) said the temp of the NVMe never went past 51°c and stayed in the "normal" temperature range the entire time. So, for me at least, thermal pads were not required at all. If you were to do heavier disk operations then maybe you'll need them. But for average use, installing things and playing games, the temp won't be a problem. Also, for speed purposes. I did not check the read and write of the intel 660p before replacing it. Games load the same quick speed prior to what I had from the 660p. Realistically I bought this for the 2TB aspect and it being on sale for $229. HOWEVER. Bios boot time (according to Task Manager) was a consistent 5-5.4 seconds. I know the 660p was about 7 seconds. So if that boot speed difference matters to you, this is a solid upgrade. But if you are doing this for game loading speed.. Just about all NVMe will have the same speed. Overall this was definitely worth it. $229 for a 2TB NVMe with easy installation and access to Samsung Magician showing all the information on your NVMe temperature, read and write speed etc is definitely worth the price.

Excellent, you get what they advertise and good software

There really isn't much to say other than it performs as advertised. I bought 2 of these to rid myself of HDDs and their cables. Couldn't be happier. Oh, and the SPEEEEED!

Replaced my 2.5 San Disk ssd and has been absolutely fantastic. Very happy I spent the extra on the 2tb version and have been able to condense all of my files onto a singular drive.

Seamlessly replaced my old Samsung SSD. Works like it should.

Used this as additional PC storage and works great. Very easy to install and read/write speeds are excellent. Be sure you have M.2 SSD slots available!

Works Great! This is a game changer for my laptop.

Upgraded my system with the Samsun 9760 EVO Plus 2TB. I did consider spending more on a Gen4 device but opted for this unit to replace an older 500GB M2 drive. Considering my storage-dependent use cases, I know nothing I do will be constrained by Gen3 transfer speeds and the value was simply fantastic. Not to mention my system has a PCIE Gen3 configuration (x470) and the extra money would only be spent to future-proof a system upgrade, which I don't plan to do anytime soon. And even if I did upgrade, I know this device will work extremely well into the foreseeable future. If you're looking for great capacity, speed and value, I definitely recommend you give this product a look!

Built a PC and used this SSD, provides plenty of space for what I use my PC for. Will buy a second one if needed for the future!

Great performance, write speeds are insane, boot up speeds are definitely very good, bought this for a prebuild with a 3070 which had a 1tb adata, that unfortunately came with a hardware defect.

Samsung storage is the go-to for me. I've had to warranty one SSD ever and the experience and how easy the process was made it an easy reason to use them again. Ill continue to use Samsung for that reason.
