A confusing conclusion to a decent SSD

However, that's sadly came to an end just a few days ago. After running tests, chkdsks, and throwing anything that could stick to the ceiling: the drive ended up being defective (after less than a year) and I'm not sure why. Samsung SSD's are usually known to be the best, right? That sadly doesn't seem to be the case anymore (see 980/990 PRO defective SSD's), which is a shame because they were one of the first ones to launch consumer-grade SSD's in the late 2000's.

Samsung stands behind the quality and performance of every 970 EVO Plus SSD we manufacture with a limited 5-year manufacturer’s warranty when purchased brand-new, directly from any authorized dealer, like Best Buy.

Reasonable price for a samsung NVME

I had the 1tb 960 before this and although I am seeing a big increase in speed using the benchmark tools, I don't see any difference in my computers performance. It could be that my motherboard is outdated but if it's able to read the advertised speed. There are too many factors that are at play and I can't blame it on just this NVME drive.

Great - but dive not recognized at first on M15

Had to use device manager> disk drives> And then click on the drive and the go to the volumes tab and click populate. Then the disk manager would see the drive and allow it to be formatted. So not plug and play for me but the drive works great now.
