Awesome SSD Drives

Awesome drive - I have the 1TB version of this drive for my system drive and picked up this 2TB option on sale since my MOBO has 3 slots for M.2 drives. I was going to transfer my system drive to this drive for added space but decided to just use this new 2TB drive for applications. Regardless, both drives are awesome - no issues with either and probably the fastest and best option for Gen 3 MOBO connections.

This Samsung SSD I got for a great price has been bullet proof under extreme loads and high temperatures. It performs very well under pressure and have had no issues with replacing my OEM SSD my Alienware came with from the factory. Great performance and price would highly recommend and only get Samsung SSD's going forward

Drive is Great, Software is Garbage

The drive itself is great. Runs quick, not too hot, and has tons of space. I would rate it five stars. Little pricey, but until it becomes the absolute standard, honestly not too bad. Remember when a 2tb hard drive cost almost 300 dollars? I remember…
Anyhow, the only reason this drive gets 4 stars instead of five is the instructions/software you’re supposed to be able to use to migrate your existing OS to the new drive. It hung up and ended up corrupting (?!?) the data it was trying to move from one to another, so I ended up doing a fresh windows install anyway after waiting 45 minutes for it to do it’s thing before it crashed.
So I implore you: back up your data (I had, it’s not my first rodeo) and just do a fresh install instead of trying to use the software. You’ll save yourself a headache and be up in running in no time.
Side note: you’ll need your own M.2 screw, because it’s not included. I wish manufacturers would start including the screw to hold the drive down, because digging through boxes of mobo boxes looking for them is a time waster and a half.

Updating Storage Space On My Alienware

This purchase was part of a project to replace my 256 GB "C" drive with a 1TB Samsung - 970 EVO Plus SSD I already owned. Then add this new 2TB Samsung - 970 EVO Plus SSD on my Alienware 15 R3. I cloned the 256 GB drive to the reformatted 1TB Samsung - 970 EVO Plus SSD. I placed this 2TB drive in the bay where the 1TB was. I formatted the 2TB drive and I've had no issues so far since the install. The 256GB drive was also reformatted and placed in the enclosure to create an external drive.

This NVMe drive is fast and has a decent amount of storage! SSD cost are getting really high (thanks chia). This drive is only PCI express gen 3. I didn't feel like spending another $200 to get a gen 4 drive. This NVMe speed up my load times, and now I can use my previous drive 1 TB Sata ssd as a Data drive. Games and programs load up very quickly. This was a great purchase. Get one of these quickly as the silicon shortage is going to raise prices for these quite soon.

The Samsung 970 EVO Plus 2TB SSD is a great drive that gives me impressive performance and adequate storage capacity, I am using it for my boot drive and backing up my computer on a NAS. I use to be a Western Digital guy but Samsung has once again raised the bar with this high-end NVMe SSD.

The SSD I recently purchased has been a game-changer for my computer. Its lightning-fast read and write speeds have significantly improved performance and reduced loading times. The storage capacity is generous, allowing me to store a vast amount of data. Overall, a highly reliable and efficient SSD.

These M 2 SSD's are on thier way out in terms of production for bigger better drives. This means savings and speed for the general consumers. I bought 3 of these and a M.2 Ssd controller and have got an 8tb SSD in my pc for less than that of a PCIE Ssd which can run anywhere from 800 to 900 bucks

I bought this when it was $249.99 and for that price you cannot beat this drive. The value at that price was insane. They cost more now but for two terabytes they are hard to beat. I have two of these one of them is in my third slot on my PC and I use the other as an external drive for my PS5, so much space for games. I have close to 40 games currently on my Samsung 970 Evo Plus 2TB for my Ps5 with plenty of space for more. If you can afford it 2TB is the way to go.

Installation was real easy. Did miss the 'ever not found' Dell mounting screw. Would like to see that included. format went well and the Samsung software did a perfect transfer of my OS and old drive. I'm a novice but this is notably faster than my old SATA drive. Great so far

Wow, this was my first SSD and I can say that I would never go back. As with any hard drive it is relatively easy to install. There are no problems detected with this hard drive and it seems to handle well while gaming. After using an SSD it is aggravating to deal with an older non-SSD hard drive.

This is a competitively priced SSD that is east to install. Samsung's free cloning app lets you copy the contents of an existing drive (using an SSD external enclosure). At 2TB, I could install the operating system with plenty of room left for games, etc.

It was a great upgrade, and one I would do again. The first one was the 1 Terabyte version. It really made a difference in boot up and speed. So I upgraded to this 2 Terabyte drive for even more storage. It has the same speed as the 1 Tb version.

Great upgrade - bought 2 of these on sale for $80.00 each to replace a couple 2.5" SSDs in an slightly older gaming PC. I went with the 970 EVO Plus because the motherboard only supports Gen 3 M.2 drives. Gives me plenty of extra storage space for my games.

Runs a little hot, but only when I do too many things at once with it. I find when I limit it to being just my boot & software processing drive, and when I run all my files from a separate drive, it works great, and the temp stays manageable.

The best NVME for the price! I have had a 1tb version since it released and have loved it. I was finally able to afford a 2tb version since prices have come down. Still the best drive for the money. I am Very happy with both of them.
