It was used to replace 3 year old ssd C drive in a dell desktop that decided to misbehave, Had it installed by Geek Squad who had to transfer my data from one ssd to the new. They did a good job, on time, but at a serious price.

Read about these things on Reddit and what not, there's a lot more to them then just plugging it into the motherboard and using it. They can be sensitive, overheat or sometimes not be recognized. However that being said, the 970 evo is one of the better ones and doesn't get too hot. As many others on the web have mentioned, it's not necessary to use a heatsink on it. I had better results without one then with one.
