    I replaced the mechanical drive inside my Dell Inspiron 5680 with this Samsung - 970 EVO Plus 500GB. Make sure your board has a NVMe Slot and check how large of a drive it can handle, as I've seen reviews saying this won't work in their computer so they call it "a dud". It does work, and it's FAST. I did have to reinstall Windows on the new drive, but other than that it was a easy process.

    When it comes to pc storage I'm really late to adapt. The few seconds you think you'd save just doesn't seem worth it. Coming from even a SATA SSD to this, will blow your mind. I personally never saw a HUGE difference between HDD and SSD's but PCI-E is definitely worth it. I've had no problems installing windows or any of my software or games. really good drive from a trusted brand.

    For those of you still on hard disk drives for booting, STOP. Solid state drives are the way to go, my boot time got cut from a minute to like, 12 seconds or so. It's so sleek and smooth. I can't wait for the day we can boot computers in like half a second, and not even reach the BIOS.
