Worked right away and is fast. These have gotten surprisingly cheap over the years so I’m always buying them to upgrade my friends computers.

This is my first nvme drive and I absolutely love it! It’s sooo much faster than my old drives and takes up no space and makes no sound. Only regrets is I didn’t get the bigger one!

Wow. This thing made all the difference in the world. Had a new computer. With a regular hard drive. Was slow to start up and just slow over all. What Samsung's online help added this ssd drive and now it's a really nice and fast computer. No idea why they didn't just sell it this way in the first place.

No issues, everything works great. This is my main hard drive on my latest build, it's been rock solid. BUT WHY DON'T THESE THINGS COME WITH SCREWS??????

Excellent performance and no throttling. Added this to system that already had a 960 Evo and while I cant notice any real world READ performance difference between the 960 and 970 for standard home user usage the write performance is substantially better than the 960. Would highly recommend this drive.

I love having made the investment into M.2 memory. My OS and games boot up so much faster than even my last SSD SATA connected drive. I’ve installed another Samsung drive at 1TB because of how awesome this was. Just make sure your Motherboard has the connections and heat sinks for it.

Samsung does a lot of things well and this is one of them. The 970 EVO Plus is a game-changer for gaming and really for anything that you need instant access to. I highly recommend one of these for the functionality of your main OS.

Working great as a secondary drive! I use Manjaro Linux as my main, but on a rare occasion I need Windows, and installing on here works excellently!

I bought this drive to upgrade my lenovo yoga 6 laptop. Great decision. It originally came with 256gb and it was a slower performance ssd compared to this 1. Easy installation and I used acronis to clone the old drive

Not really but enough for a lot of modern games especially since these run better and last longer when they are less than 75% full, noone tells you that btw but it's true.

Wow!!!! This Solid State drive is super fast and my 4-5 year old computer works great. The operating system loads very quickly in a matter of seconds versus 30 seconds to 1 minute for the old hard drive. Great upgrade! Would highly recommend

Needed this to upgrade my c drive as it was slow works well and my games load up 10x faster

I wanted additional SSD capacity to allow for the always increasing size of operating systems and other programs. This substituted for a 128GB SSD. Now I don't have to think much about filling up my C drive with. All of the programs I use. Thee SSD drives are really great because of the speed!

Works great for older gen laptop and desktop. SSDs are the way to go and NVMe are by far the better option then the SATA ones.

As of this date, the addition of 500 GB to PC is allowing the machine to work better with no issues. Glad I added. Just wish it had not deleted so many things on my machine even though they said nothing would disappear. Spent 4 days locating and uploading files.

Bought this on sale, always picking them up when i can. Super fast transfer, great for gaming!

Awesome NVME drive by Samsung. Samsung is known for making the best storage in the business. This NVME drive is very fast. Read is 3,500MBps and write is 3,000MBps give a take a few. Overall the best NVME drive on the market for speed and reliability.

Here is the peak performance I could get with 10g file size and different block sizes. Ran on Ubuntu OS and at block level with direct IO (to avoid any filesystem caching effect). In general benchmark tools will show boosted write performance than what drive can actually perform due to filesystem cache and particularly if data size is small. Below are the ballpark numbers. 10g file size seq read / write for different block sizes (MB/s) ========================================================= 4k - 1255 / 122 8k - 2344 / 233 64k - 3071 / 758 128k - 3135 / 761 1m - 3142 / 761

This little stick of gum is a work-horse. Upgraded from an 870 Evo and the change is very noticeable when working with large amounts of data as well as having many programs open at once. Paired mine with an i5 10600k and have never been happier.

So l have been using Samsung SSDs since my 500gb 840 evo cost $240. I've been using it, the 850, 860, and 2 samsung nvme. I originally planned on getting the normal 970 nvme (for $40 less) but didn't realize bestbuy pulled all the inventory of them and replaced them with the "plus" model. Now, I love Samsung SSD and NVME drives. They are phenomenal when it comes to performance and reliability. However, 90% of NVME drives are pretty comparable in performance and the difference between the "normal" and "plus" 970 was pretty negligible. Truth be told, I ended up going with the new WD Black NVME instead.
