My laptop now boots up in about 7 seconds. The original HDD would take almost 20mins at times. A friend suggested to get this. I do regret not getting the 1TB. This is excellent product.

So far, everything is working great. Even though it is replacing another SSD, speed is noticably faster. The 500gb size is perfect for placing an operating system & programs on it. No thermal issues to speak of either. You can spend a small fortune on internal SSD's. However, many SSD's actually perform a bit slower if they are high capacity. It is really a good idea to use a drive like this for your operating system and use a secondary drive for games, photos, videos and such. Installation is very easy if you have even a little computer/mechanical knowledge. If you are looking to upgrade & speed up your computer, this is the most cost effective way. And being a Samsung, you know it's good. They are literally one of the industries best.
