This NVME drive can give you the maximum speed of NVME 4.0. I purchased this one for my new system. It is a blazing SSD in the market. However, you should know that only Ryzen 3000 or 5000 + B550 or X570 support this drive's full speed. I highly recommend this SSD to those who find a NVME 4.0 drive for their new system.

I had a pcie 3.0 drive before this and that ran at 3.5gig/s, the 980 pro achieved 6.75gigs/s(Q1) but this means your loading bar is too slow to keep up with what is happening in real-time. Consistently menus are open while the loading bar is still filling up I have built and used PCs for 30 years and I have never seen such speed, you are buying a premium product here 5 stars easily, also why it gets a 2 for value.

For the price difference of $10 I think it’s worth it over the 970 Evo Plus. Even in a 3.0 x4 config this drive is fast. It runs cooler than my 970 Evo Plus and if I ever upgrade I’ll have gen 4 speeds. I’ve never had issues with samsung ssds and highly recommend them.

Blazing Fast SSD!

I upgraded from a 970 EVO and honestly can't really tell the difference for every day use until I'm doing 4k video edits. I recommend upgrading if you have a practical need, otherwise stick with the 970 EVO or EVO PLUS and save yourself some $$$ if you're just gaming.

I bought 2 and raided the drives together for unmatched performance. 9000+ Read/Write, runs cooler than the 970 pro and is PCIE 4.0. There aren't any other SSD's as fast as this so if performance is what you're chasing then look no further.
