SK Hynix P41 blows Samsung out of the water. This Samsung SSD isnt as smooth as I would hope. Several other SSDs are faster: WD Black SN859X, SN770, SN850, Crucial P5 Plus, seagate Firecuda 530, even an OEM KIOXIA XG8 is faster.

After 1 year of usage

Today, September 3rd, 2023 the driver has failed and drove me nuts for 6 hours to debug. I trusted Samsung with this product but it failed my expectations. I have lost a lot of work, especially school work, I suggest you back up all your work in case this driver fails which coincides with the 1-year usage. Prior to the failure, the product was definitely worth 5 stars but I will rate the product as one star and the rating will change depending on the service provided by customer support.

High rate of failure

This last one cost me months of work. I will not purchase another Samsung drive in the future. I've had multiple Sabrent Rocket drives in that time and none have failed or so much as had a hiccup. I own many Samsung products but their storage devices are dead to me.

Samsung 980 SSD are Counterfeit
