    Purchased this to pair with my 1TB 980 boot drive. Unfortunately my MB is unable to utilize 2 gen 4 drives. So its running @ Gen3. Purchased on Black Friday so still a good value.

    Its good but the first time I installed it on my ps5 it wasn't reading it even when it was on the correct way i just had to move it a bit and it worked.

    I’ve had 2 of this exact drive fail, and another failure of another Samsung drive. Their warranty is extremely difficult to have honored. Their process is long, complicated and annoying. If they had died in the return policy that Best Buy has, I would have done so. I’ve stopped buying Samsung drives altogether.

    This drive was bad when installed. It took multiple visits and phone calls to the Geek Squad to determine what the issue was. I kept getting the dreaded blue screen every few days and my battery kept overheating even with the suggested cooling pad. I am not a gamer, just an accountant using Excel. Geek Squad shipped away my device and they kept it for a month and half. Actually, they didnt even replace my 2 TB SSD. Im trying to get this resolved.

    My drive died shortly after a year

    Lasted 1 year and 3 months. I barely used 500GB out of 2TB and have only 14TB total written over it's life. The drive went into Read Only mode, crashed my server and the SSD failed SMART diagnostics: SMART overall-health self-assessment test result: FAILED! - available spare has fallen below threshold - media has been placed in read only mode Product registration form on Samsung's site was broken so I couldn't even set up an RMA online.

    I have had this less than a year in a computer that is only used about 3 times a week at most and it failed. This is completely ridiculous! Don’t waste your time on this brand, get something better.

    I have a macbook pro 17 inch with a samsung sata drive built into it that runs faster than this. I don't get what the hype is all about. I refuse to ever give a samsung product a good review ever again at this point. These products are unreliable to a T. I only got this because I needed to get something in a pinch and this was all that was available. I'm at the point where I have this, which is not even all that fast, their 4k tv, which is garbage and unpredictable, and their phone which is overpriced and drains the battery faster than I've seen to date. I cannot stress enough how bad these products are. If it says samsung on it, get something else. These products have a shorter lifespan than a baby hamster with a hungry mother.
