This Samsung M.2 is the upgrade you need. The speed on this thing is wicked fast. I use this as my secondary drive for bulk short term storage and this thing is amazing for that. I store my games and current video projects on it as not to fill up my C drive. My 4k video plays smooth as can be with the added speed benefit. Games load quick and the storage size is adequate for that. Especially the 200GB (each) Call of Duty games. This drive is perfect for video editing, gaming stream storage, games, and photo storage. If you are looking for a blazing fast drive to upgrade your system or are building a new system this is the drive for you.

Works great, plug and play, the set up process is very straight forward after powering on your PC you may need to set up the drive but it should only take a matter of minutes. Regardless if using it as boot or extra space, it’s a great purchase.

Incredibly fast SSD for my machine. Try not to overstuff it though, I’ve noticed a significant drop in speed when it’s more than ~75% full, so I got a second and try to keep them both as low as possible for ultimate transfer speed.

I used this in my PS5, and still have had no issues. If you are wondering if the 990 Pro is worth the premium, this 980 Pro is still perfect for what the PS5 requires. Thanks Samsung!

This SSD was faster than the previous SSD I was using, which was a Samsung evo 970, and it is very helpful to have faster read and write speeds. I have noticed an improvement in load times in the video games I play, as well a decrease in the boot up time of my computer. For the price it is an great product because of the fast speeds it provides.

This is my 6th personal drive from Samsung in the last 7-8 years. All the previous ones are still in use. I also deploy many on the job and they’ve been largely maintenance free. This is by far the fastest drive so far and it’s great to see higher capacities become more affordable.

The Samsung 980 Pro SSD is awesome! I am seeing significantly faster transfer speeds than the previous Samsung SSD I had, and way faster speeds than a stock PCI 3.0 drive. I am not a gamer, but I regularly use SSD drive intensive processes and this drive has clearly boosted my processing speeds. I couldn't be happier!

Very good SSD card, remember to buy the heat sink for it. I bought it to store my programs on so they would not be residing on the C: drive. If fact I am going to buy a second one for my data.

fast storage. lots of storage. perfect for everything you need. with 1tb you cant have all your games downloaded at once but with 2t you definitely can

Samsung firmware had a bug in it that is causing these drives to switch to read only mode making the drive worthless. Once in read only mode you can't wipe the drive if you want to send it for warranty replacement. Samsung should bend over backward to honor and replace these since THEY KNOW IT IS 100% THEIR FAULT. That is not the case though. Paid premium price for this drive and bought a cheep Pony drive. Pony drive is trouble free. Will not buy anymore Samsung products - paying for the name now not the quality of product or a worry free warranty because it doesn't exist.

Very easy to install and definitely worth the purchase. I used to only be able to have two games installed but now I have all the games I want to play installed.

I assume this drive will meet expectations. The ONLY reason I ordered it from BB was because of their claimed next-day delivery. Well, that means I should have the drive in my hands today, but I've been told via email that it will be here "by May 24". Isn't that special? Be forewarned--I'm sure the product is great, but don't fall for BB's shipping hyperbole.

Works perfect for my legion pro gaming laptop 2 tb was plenty additional storage for the tons of games i have.
