I purchased this for my PS5. Easy to install and works like it should. Fast and smooth. You’ll need to purchase a heat sink since this does not come with one.

6.5GB/s read, 5.2GB/s write. Currently at 38C occupying the bottom m.2 slot inside my ASUS ROG Crosshair VIII Dark Hero board and almost exclusively used for games, though I also use it as scratch for Adobe applications. Truth be told, as of now these speeds won't really affect games. But with newer consoles all using similar speed storage, who knows what developers might do in the future to utilize the bandwidth. At the moment, it's a luxury item. But speeds like this will become the norm in the future. Once we get more NVME PCIe Gen 4 SSDs out there, we'll start seeing these at much more affordable prices!

Samsung always delivers the best, no exception with this memory, works great and you can tell the difference, it's fast and great response, could be use it on laptops as well

found this to be exceptional. Coming from nvme 3.0 to 4.0 was a nice bump. I emulate android on pc and run multiple instances. You can really tell the difference. If you are still on 6g sata and haven't made the jump, just DO IT ! z690 and z790 chipsets allow nvme or m.2 cards to run at full capacity with nvme 5.0 on the horizon.....its just a no brainer if you have the money and if you are looking to save time, over the ownership of this drive it pays for itself, did i mention its 2 TB

I have 2 of 2 TB in my desktop. One 1 TB in my laptop. Excellent storage option. Fast and reliable.

After a few months of daily usage, the drive does well. No hiccups so far, and speeds are just about as advertised. This is the best consumer drive money can buy right now but it is a bit hefty on the cost (the 2 TB drives always are). It’ll be a while until the price comes down on 2TB drives on release but for now, it’s worth having if you’re working with boat loads of data and transfer speeds are a concern. Moving entire bundles of movies and games between this and a 970 Evo Plus of the same size definitely feels like the future (if only really done for fun). Takes seconds to move a game like Cyberpunk back and forth, even with the write bottleneck of the 970. Very happy with it so far but obviously can change in the future if there’s a drive failure.

The best consumer-level NVMe money can buy. Not sure why my box was opened and damaged, but the NVMe works as advertised. Blazing fast, tons of storage, and compact with no wires. One more of these and I'll be set.

Great SSD - so far no issues, good value, fast, easy to install.

While no longer the top tier of Samsung drives, the 980 pro remains on the quicker side of pcie 4.0x4 drives. I have many Samsung SSDs and they have been reliable with minimal performance degradation. (Make sure to provision >16% free space to keep performance up). Bought a 2tb 980 for an OS / storage drive, and a 990 pro for a gaming drive. Happy with both, would buy again.
