While no longer the top tier of Samsung drives, the 980 pro remains on the quicker side of pcie 4.0x4 drives. I have many Samsung SSDs and they have been reliable with minimal performance degradation. (Make sure to provision >16% free space to keep performance up). Bought a 2tb 980 for an OS / storage drive, and a 990 pro for a gaming drive. Happy with both, would buy again.

After a few months of daily usage, the drive does well. No hiccups so far, and speeds are just about as advertised. This is the best consumer drive money can buy right now but it is a bit hefty on the cost (the 2 TB drives always are). It’ll be a while until the price comes down on 2TB drives on release but for now, it’s worth having if you’re working with boat loads of data and transfer speeds are a concern. Moving entire bundles of movies and games between this and a 970 Evo Plus of the same size definitely feels like the future (if only really done for fun). Takes seconds to move a game like Cyberpunk back and forth, even with the write bottleneck of the 970. Very happy with it so far but obviously can change in the future if there’s a drive failure.

The best consumer-level NVMe money can buy. Not sure why my box was opened and damaged, but the NVMe works as advertised. Blazing fast, tons of storage, and compact with no wires. One more of these and I'll be set.

Transfer speeds are consistently fast and installation is beyond simple

Not much to say, just buy if you're needing a beefy SSD. Especially if you play modded open world games, load screens will be almost instant. Booting up windows on my 500GB version is instant.

The price was awesome on this 2tb so bought 2 of them.980 pro is a great ssd definitely recommend for this price

Fast SSD. Was able to add to my new gaming laptop to give me more storage. Loading games and files is very fast. Other Reviews also gave this excellent points.

Works great for ps5 u can download to the card and still play the game later without having to download back to ps5 .plus it makes down loads so freaking fast , u will love this thing

You want a fast NVME drive? Here you go. The Samsung SSDs are really good, and this one is one of their better ones. Plenty of room and great performance.

Great nvme. I own a couple more so I know they are reliable now. Does get a little warm though.

I needed a large internal drive for music and video production and this new ssd from samsung is awesome for that.

I got it on sale and even cheaper than amazon. The perfomance is great and feels snappy. 2TB is awsome for storage
