With all the WD drives being snatched up for PS5, I needed to find something equal in speed and power. My laptop came with a 970 evo plus so I decided to pick up the 980 pro for the increased read/write speed and extra capacity. I ended up liking this so much that I converted this to my main drive due to the very fast load speeds especially for games. Best Buy had a good deal when I picked this up which help beat it out among the other drives I was looking at.

Not sure what’s up with Samsung drives lately, but using these drives on my Mac, they sometimes disappear. I simply unplug and replug it back in and it pops back up again. Works great on the PC no issues. Still a great drive.

Great SSD, Even Greater Price

For $99, I upgraded my RAID config from 4TB to 8TB and haven't looked back. The Gen4 speed and the additional capacity, and my computer has never been happier with me. I wouldn't buy at MSRP, which I think is around $200 or so. But if you can grab it at that $100 price tag, its a no-brainer. You'll always need more space eventually.

State-of-the-art storage solution

Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Firstly, this is expensive but that is because you're buying a state-of-the-art storage solution which also requires the latest PCIe 4.0 compliant motherboard to take proper advantage of. I own one of these with a 5900x and 3090 through an Asus B500-F motherboard and I have been pleasantly blown away by the data transfer rates on this SSD. The storage space is awesome as well, and I honestly recommend if you don't go with this 2 TB SSD then go with a SATA SSD with 2 TB instead; it's such a nice comfort of life upgrade having all your data & content on one large, fast drive space.
