After updating the firmware via the Samsung Magician software, I was able to achieve read speeds of 6,480 MB/s. Well above the recommended speed by Sony! Don't forget to install a heat sink as well. I went with the Sabrent PS5 heatsink.

Purchased the 980 pro 2Tb for use in the PlayStation 5. Read speeds around 5700mbs. Samsung has released firmware version 4B2QGXA7 that brought it up to 6460mbs. Runs at around 7000mbs in my PC. Seems to be a Samsung to Sony issue.

got on sale and extremely happy. SSD’s used to be 100s and now 2TB can be affordable. never will i go back to HDD for games when the speed of SSDs is not comparable

Needed more storage, so upgraded my boot drive. Great Drive, always had good luck with Samsung SSD's. Prices are coming down, and the drive is great.

This thing is perfect for a one m.2 slot laptop (like my G14 2021), it's capacity it's amazing, just make sure your computer is able to use its full 4.0 speed
