So great to get rid of SATA/power cables in the computer going to older model hard drives. Be sure to install the Samsung Magician software and watch for updates in there once in a while. Keeping the firmware up to date will help avoid any potential issues in the future and also warn you if your drive(s) and approaching end of life.

Completely satisfied with it. Entire OS is blazing fast now, and all my Steam games load and update fast. If you were thinking about upgrading your SSD, now's the perfect time since the recent price drops means you can get premium SSDs for midrange price.

RND write 200 and RND read 70. the first 3 in the photo are the Samsung pro 2TB, next 2 are Samsung 870 evo's 2TB, and last 2 are Toshiba x300 8TB for reference

Booting, loading games, editing photos, converting videos, name it this drive does it very fast. Great investment! Big storage and I'm not even close to half capacity. Will definitely buy again for a PS5, that is if ever I get the chance to buy one at retail price lol!

My motherboard already had preinstalled heatsinks on the M.2 slots but if yours doesn't, I would highly recommend getting one especially if the drive is going to be installed in a Gen 4 slot.
