Great, fast storage for a desktop build. 2 TB was a great option and for $189 really can't complain with how far storage has come. No issues installing windows or running games and applications. Insanely fast.

Had to improve on my ps5 storage... Sony is forcing you to buy more honestly. 825GB stock...is laughable small.. Since AAA game eat up storage like no tomorrow shame 2TB sort of feels like small droplets these days.

I spoke to the NPC’s at Best Buy. The merchants recommended me this. I know not what it does, only that it does it well. That that is enough for me.

So far so good! Ive owned it for over 3 weeks, have had no issues so far, and the drive is running at rated speeds! Overall, good purchase, just wish I would’ve waited a single day and got it while it was on sale.

I been buying Samsung SSDs for several years now without any problems. This works just as great as the others.

The packaging was great, and it gave enough info in the box. After the quick and easy install all i had to do was add it to the drives and it was good to go

Works flawlessly, and keeps cool temps without a heatsink. I have the Asus x570 mobo, therefore; I have two installed. One is above my 3070 suprim x and the other is directly below, almost touching. Still, both stay cool, never getting above 55°c. I would highly recommended even at full price which is what i paid for both.

The review is not of Best Buy it is of the product. I'm done with Samsung. 20 years of failing Samsung Ram, Samsung CDRWs, Samsung Phones (U540), and Samsung SSD's. The 970 I put in my Predator in 2018 was such a fuss I have to be a moron to attempt it again now with the 980 Pro...but I figured they fix problems after 4 years right? Nope. The SSD does not react well to the Intel Drivers and I was unable to change them over to the Microsoft or the Samsung Driver because somehow my Samsung TF card became unformattable. They know it's a problem. It's public knowledge that it's a problem (which I didn't know till yesterday but go run a search "Samsung 980 Pro Driver not compatible Magician" https://us.community.samsung.com/t5/Monitors-and-Memory/Samsung-980-PCIe-3-0-NVMe-M-2-SSD-1TB-Windows-10-Pro-64-bit/td-p/1793562/page/1 Show Samsung they can't get away with this.

Best Buy sent me THREE OPEN BOX ITEMS IN A ROW when I purchased these as brand new. Your customer service is awful, I spent a total of 5+ hours on the phone, a month of waiting on shipping and 2 trips to the local store to sort this out and YOU STILL COULDNT GET IT DONE. I ultimately got a refund and will quite literally NEVER go to best buy for anything other than to defecate. Worst comlany ever, incompetence at every level, never again.

Inconsistent speeds and degrading by the day. I started with peak speeds and after only using about 10% capacity, it's acting as if it's half full.

Used for approximately 8 months, but shortly after midnight on March 2nd it just died and went into read only mode. No reason at all. Will return and look for different more reliable NVME HD. Poor QA by Samsung onnthis issue. Glad i ilused Bstbuy's total protection when I purchased this item

Verdict. This SSD drive provides ample space and performs very well so far. Installation was quick and easy. This gave me some much-needed space on my laptop. Installation. Before starting your installation, I recommend watching some videos online so that you can figure out how to take apart your computer. Also, be sure to minimize the chance of static electricity damage to the SSD by touching other objects before handling the SSD. I was dreading having to transfer my OS from the existing 512GB SSD to this new SSD, but I was fortunate that my 17” Omen laptop had a second (unused) SSD slot. So installation was straightforward: open the back of the laptop, load the SSD into the open slot, screw it down, reassemble the laptop, and format the new SSD. And it's done! 2TB of space just as I was running out of space on my existing 512GB SSD and 1TB SATA. Performance. The Samsung 980 Pro demonstrated fast read and write speeds. In general, PCle 4.0 performs much better than previous SSD generations. I didn’t encounter any issues with massive file transfers, gaming, and graphics performance. Long term reliability cannot be ascertained yet, but so far so good. Samsung 980 Pro NVME PCIe 4.0 is one quick SSD. The lighting quick drive move over files quickly at a insane speed. The drive is lighting fast moving over hundreds upon hundreds of gigs of data in a matter of seconds. Large Steam files moved over rapidly from my game library. I had easily installed a 2nd NVME slot on Asus ROG Zephyrus M16 which was a breeze. The drive is small but carefully placing it inside was was a snap. I place some games on the drive like Cyberpunk 2077, Final Fantasy XV, Doom Eternal, MK11, GTAV, and Resident Evil: Village. Loading times was improved at an insane rate. Forza Horizon 4 photo was at an Instant at loading the scene. Applications open up at an lighting speed. (Photos will show default real world testing.) I love the drive and give ample amount of storage space for my gaming needs. It’s fast and quick, I believe Samsung as usual make fantastic NVME drives so the reliability is good. Of course if you have a Gaming PC, Want to make your laptop faster, or just want more storage. This is clearly a top preforming drive.
