I purchased this product for my PC, and the price is highly attractive considering the ample storage space it offers. Additionally, the write and read speeds are impressive, although not top-of-the-line. Since it's a Samsung product, you can expect it to be of good quality. I've had a positive experience with it, as the installation was smooth, and the speeds have been satisfactory. For budget-conscious PC builders, this is definitely a great buy.

I have purchased two of these from Best Buy, one for my PS5 and one for my PC. I was having stuttering issues in Modern Warfare and Halo Infinite, but as soon as I switched to this drive on my PC, the micro stutters disappeared. Tons of storage for a game drive. Also, if you buy this version, you need to get a heatsink in order to use it for PS5, but there is a version out that includes it. If you do have to get one, they are less than $20. Super easy to install and increases your PS5 game storage more than 2x.

I just bought a new laptop with a 1TB SSD. It had a slot for a second SSD so this was a great option. It was extremely easy to install and it's a Samsung. I have multiple NVMe SSDs in my desktop and I've used Samsung SSDs for over 10 years in my personal computers and builds I've done for friends and family. As storage prices keep dropping, you can't go wrong with this SSD.

Fast drive and easy to install. I picked up the 2TB version for $137. I would definitely recommend it on sale. If you don’t want to wait for it to go on sale around that price and want it now, I would look at the 990 Pro 2TB version that is cheaper currently and faster/newer.

Very fast and very spacious. With my internet and this SSD I can download even the biggest games within 20 to 30 minutes. Plus due to it being non-mechanical like a traditional hard drive I don't have to worry about parts failing or it getting slower is it ages.

After purchasing a PlayStation 5 console at the end of 2021, it became apparently very quickly that the internal storage was going to be used up rather quickly. I waited a while for prices to drop, as at the time of purchasing the console, this 1TB NVMe drive was closer to $200, which was a little out of reach for me. Thankfully, prices on these have come down since then and I was able to recently pick one up for roughly half that, and it has been extremely useful. Even with gigabit internet, I no longer have to delete and redownload games in order to manage my console storage. The speeds on this drive are actually a bit faster than the internal storage on the PS5, which is already incredibly fast, so there's a few instances where you will notice that graphical pop-in is reduced. While load-times are becoming a thing of the past with these new consoles, there's also a few instances where I've noticed games loading a little faster too,. For example, going from 3-4 seconds on Fortnite down to maybe 2 seconds. Not exactly a huge difference, but definitely just makes the experience feel just a bit smoother and snappier. Overall, if you're looking for a drive to increase the storage of your PlayStation 5 console, then look no further.

Brought this for a sonnettech Macbook docking station. Works great, quick, and gave me the added space needed. easy to install and configure.

I have begun using the 2TB drive in most of my external drive setups. I have replaced several miscellaneous 512GB and 1TB drives with these. I also put this in my J5 JCreate dual TB Docking Stations to give me portable storage for my MacBook Pro. Just a warning: These drives come from the factory completely unformatted so don't think you can just pop it into your computer and format away. Well, maybe not your Windows computer. Mac and LInux users can user the in OS tools during installation to format the drive. Windows users should consider connecting this through a NVME external drive enclosure to format from a Windows PC. Or if you have an open PCiE NVME slot, plug it in and format. Otherwise, I would suggest keeping your GParted Live CD handy for Samsung drives for a new computer. Also, if you are looing to upgrade the drive in your Mac system, take the time to look up and adapters you may need to use this. I was pleasantly surprised by the performance of my external drives and these make handy boot drives in my Windows laptop to replace the tiny 256GB drive Dell seems to still put in their laptops. That said, there are less expensive offerings at Best Buy. WD Blue SSDs are nearly $100 less so may make a better choice if you are budget minded. There are also several other SSD choice in 2TB that may be friendlier to your wallet. As long you understand you will need to format this drive before you can dump your OS on it, you should be good with this drive.

Not much to say about Samsung internal SSDs. They are fast, and reliable, and have had no issues in the last 2 years of using them. Just picked up this one for a new gaming PC, and I got it at a great price compared to competitors.

Insanely fast on my gen 3 system but gives me the ability to use higher speeds when i eventually upgrade to a gen 4 motherboard. With everything samsung i expect longevity out of it aswell. If you are on the fence about this or a cheaper sata ssd get an m.2 as its faster in every way and doesnt take up a sata cable slot on the motherboard if you want to maximize storage space.

I bought this to replace a 990 Pro that I had been using in my Alienware M17 R3 after I upgraded to an M16. I originally put this in the M17 with another 990 Pro, and while it benchmarked at the speeds on the box, actually a little faster, it was still quite a bit below the 990 Pro. I had been using a 990 Pro in my M17 R3, but that laptop wasn’t fast enough to take advantage of the full speed of the 990 Pro, or even the 980 Pro. To get the highest performance in my new M16, I took the 990 pro out of the M17 and swapped the 980 Pro in. In that “slower” M17 laptop, the 980 Pro is exactly as fast as the 990 Pro. The 980 Pro is still a great SSD for computers that are a couple of years old. There is no reason to use the more expensive 990 Pro if your computer can’t reach the 980 top speed in the first place. I’ve been using Samsung SSDs of various models for many years now, and I’ve never had a single problem.

Bought this to replace a 512 GB SSD in a new laptop. Super impressed with how much I've been able to put on it so far and isn't even half way full yet. Speed seems good as well. It was easy to install.

I have 3 ssds in my desktop and this one is 3x the speed of the others. I love this especially running my virtual machines on it. They run as smooth as a normal machine now and my ganes are instant when loading now. Worth every penny cant wait to upgrafe the other 2.

I was able to get his product attached to my motherboard in no time at all. This product does exactly what it said it's going to do. The memory is extremely fast and responsive. Samsung has out done themselves with is hard drive. I am very happy with this purchase

Super fast, super reliable. Magician software that it comes with is intuitive and easy to use and does anything you would want it to. As far as SSD's go, it does what you need to, but Samsung gives you some extras that you wouldn't get anywhere else.

Easy to install and works perfectly. My MSI motherboard recognized it with no issues. After install and updates, system cold starts within 10 to 15 seconds. 2tb had over 1.8tb of space.

This is more of the same from Samsung in the SSD department and that's what I want. Big storage big speed
