This ssd was very easy to add to PS5 console. It’s fast and the storage is just enough to add a little extra space to your console. Even better that this has the heat sink built into so you dont have to purchase and add it.

Let me start by saying, this thing is FAST. Like, really fast. It’s a great upgrade to your PS5 and totally worth the money. PS5 straight up does not come with enough storage out of the box and this solves that problem with ease. Installation was easy and simple. However, I would recommend watching a YouTube tutorial before attempting to install it. Honestly, though, it’s not hard and anyone with a small screwdriver, a few minutes of time and a willingness to attempt something new and you’ll be back to playing games and having enough storage to do so in no time at all. I would also like to note that because it already has a heat sink on it, it’s almost literally plug and play. Just be sure to put the expansion bay cover plate inside the console back on so it cools properly.

Fast, very fast memory stick. It took more the to remove the PS5 cover than to install the memory. Smaller than expected, so you had to move the spacer in the PS5. Very easy and smooth installation. A bit pricey but worth it .

Very fast SSD. It does what it is designed to do. Easy to install, and a name you can trust. I will say it again, this is a very fast, high performance SSD. Works great for gaming.

I bought this SSD with heatsink for my ps5 due to low storage space. It's a little cheaper in price than other name brands but works better or just the same. Easy install, good craftsmanship, works flawlessly.

If you have a ps5 you need this asap. Games load even faster,ps5 holds more space since ps5 does not give you full space, and easy to install.

I purchased the 980 Pro with Heatsink for my PS5. Instillation was super easy and took me less than 5 minutes. When you power up your console, you will get a prompt to format the drive. Once this is complete (about 15 seconds) the read speed will be displayed on your screen. The new units have been updated to the lasted firmware out of the box and hit read speeds of over 6,500 upon installation. Since the default drive comes in at about 5,500 you will get slightly better load times with the 980 Pro. This is a solid drive and well worth the money if you are looking to expand your PS% storage.

After successfully acquiring a PS5, I knew I would want to expand the available storage for all of the games I would (lazilly) store locally. After some research, I determined that the 980 PRO with Heatsink was the best way forward. After setting up the PS5, updating it to the latest software, I was able to install this M.2 SSD quickly. The PS5 recognized it upon next boot, recognized how fast it is, and then let me format it so it could be used with the system. So far no difference in speeds from games downloading to, or being run from this drive as compared ot the built-in one on the console.

I’m bought this to increase the storage in the PlayStation and it is does it’s job. Installation was easy and Its just as fast as loading as the OEM internal ssd.

Wow, this ssd is Great!!! way more memory than my PS5 ssd, and just as fast. One of the best investments for your PS5!!! A must have and so simple to install.

I have a few of these now, across different devices (PS5, desktop, laptop) and I have had only great experiences. Performance is right on the money with the spec, and the temps have always been in nominal range. Price is very competitive, and only seems to go down over time. Definitely my NVMe drive of choice!

The Samsung 980 PRO Heatsink 1TB Internal SSD works better than the original manufacturer's SSD worked. My computer boots up faster and handles larger files (downloading) more easily. Also, with today's space needs, this drive gives room for storage with breathing space. I am so glad I got this SSD, top of the line.
