If you have a ps5, this is a must. I would get the 2TB as the games are large and take up space quick. I was looking at them back when I got the system and they were way too expensive. Got it for 90 on sale. It has a heat sink and that’s what made me choose it over the other even cheaper options. Super easy to install and works seamlessly.

This is a great product at a great price. I was needing an SSD for my PS5 and this is probably one of the better ones out there. Easy to install into the PS5, too. I also like how it has a high transfer speed, when I moved GoW: Ragnarok (95gb) it only took about 18 seconds which it nice.

I payed $199 for this and put it in my ps5 it meets the requirements that sony said is needed but it does nit exceed them. I purchased this cause it was the more afordable option with a heatsink and i really needed it. So its working for what i need it for. Ps4 games load faster then they do from my external ssd. And i really dont see a diifeence in load time from the ps5 games i have saved straight to the systems ssd and this one. Easy to install for 199$ im not hurting or regreting my purchase. Maybe in a couple of years i will upgrade to a 4 Terabyte one that reads faster when production increases and prices go down.

I think you cant beat it for $70, already has a heatsink installed and went right into my ps5 no issues, my ps5 said it was running about 6,780mbs, just wish the 2tb option was a little cheaper, but the 1tb along with internal storage and an external 2.5 sata ssd is plenty of space

Great fit for the PS5. This mounted into my console with no issues whatsoever when it came to clearance. In terms of speed I experienced the same issue as others, where the tested speed did not match what was advertised on the box. That being said I have not encountered any issues when using it and games load as fast off of this as the internal storage for the PlayStation.

I bought this solely to increase the storage space on my PS5, and I couldn't have asked for a better drive. Samsung really went above and beyond to give just a little extra space for the formatting so you get the full 1TB for storage. The drive is simple to install. It took longer to pop the cover off my PS5 than it did to install the drive. It's a little pricey, but so far worth every penny.

This particular SSD was purchased to increase the overall memory capacity of the Sony PS5. Installation was easy and fairly quick. Once formatted, moving files and loading games was excellent. I also have the same SSD in my desktop computer that is used for photo and video editing.

Easy to install, works great, and you actually get the full amount of advertised storage space. Isn't as fast as it claims, at least according to my PS5, but still fast.

Seriously, maybe the best upgrade you can get for you PS5. Don't skimp out, this is the one that you want.

Wantwd to not make rhw same miatake i made with ps4 by getting storagw late. I got this on a deal and it moves fast and stores the game well. Easy install and stays cool.

As an owner and fan of three 980 Pro 1TB SSDs (two I own and one gifted), I already knew the performance would be exceptional. This is marketed more towards the PS5 gaming installed base, but I installed it on a Gigabyte Z490 motherboard as my second system in a reserved slot which is only enabled by population of an 11th Gen processor. Recent history: There seemed to be a short production period for most motherboards out there where PCIe 4.0 was available only to select m/b slots which seemed like a good idea to "future proof" your purchase. Unfortunately those slots next to the CPU socket rarely came with heatsinks, so even if you wanted to populate it, it would just be hanging out in the ambient air uncooled. I can't speak to utilization in a PS5, but in a PC motherboard slot without a manufacturer heatsink available, this 980 Pro Heatsink 1TB keeps the internal SSD cool enough to prevent throttling with heavy use. The thin profile in no way interferes with surrounding motherboard components, but it is thicker than just the normal SSD by itself and most likely won't fit under other solid heatsinks supplied by your motherboard manufacturer. In this case it has a niche use for exactly the type of orphaned PCIe 4.0 slots I discussed above.

Airtight, I wasn't convinced until I bought it. But I got this on sale and I couldn't pass it up. Even though the gen 5 nvme's are out, this thing is still blistering fast. I set it up in my PS5 and it loads games faster than the internal storage.

This harddrive is fabulous for ps5. It is actually even faster then the drive that co.es with the ps5 whichbis blazing fast ad it is. I checked its really faster. Easy to install and its so nice nkt having to delte games everytime i get a new game.
