Put it in, powered up the PS5 and instantly recognized the drive and was able to format it with no issues. Moved some games over to it, it was smoother than my grandma's dance moves.

Great for PS5 and PCs, REMEMBER TO UPDATE FIRMWARE

It can do both (well not at the same time), you have to pick. But in both cases it works great as a had drive for a laptop/desktop (that supports the port), but also blazing speeds for your PS5, ONLY after you use the MAGIC software from Samsung to UPDATE the SSD, as out of the box it only gets 5300 Read speed, after FIRMWARE UPDATE (you need a pc for this, PS5 CANT DO IT), you will get 6500+
