I am using it with an external case and find the transfer speeds much quicker than standard external drive,s so I don't "downgrade" my laptop performance for more space.

One in an outboard caddy for extra storage on my MacBook Air, two in my last Windows desktop build from last summer. Fast, reliable, does not produce much heat

This is my fourth Samsung SSD upgrade with no hardware problems. Even better, it was on sale. I do wonder why Samsung doesn't include the darned installation screw with the SSD? I don't think that the screw cost would bankrupt the company. Asus has the right idea with their pitstop or tool less laptop upgrade chassis which makes laptop upgrades easier than desktop. However, the Samsung is a sweet SSD.

Microcenter wants me to bring my whole custom rig with the microcenter branded m.2 installed. to diagnose a dying m.2, when I already diagnosed it. I ended up biting the bullet with buying a Samsung m.2 and don't regret the purchase

They’re reliable, rugged, and they never fail on me. I’ve had this computer that hand built myself and I have never had any issues with Samsung’s storage drives ever. 10/10 would always buy.

Games load up as fast as they possibly could. Highly recommend especially if you are playing larger games or want to use it as a boot drive. I have a smaller size for the boot drive and Windows boots up quick. Bought this before the prices went up, but $300+ for this is a bit too much.
