It is another solid Samsung SSD that was easy to install and use. This is being used primarily for data and program storage but would certainly work as an OS drive.

I’m using it as my boot drive, and if I had a better motherboard, I would’ve gone with the “Pro” SSD. However, as my motherboard is a bit outdated and does not support the faster interfaces, this SSD was perfect for the price. I was surprised by how cool it runs under heavy usage. I did not use a heatsink for it, but I did not feel I needed one from the data I monitored. With that said, I think this SSD is good depending on your usage. Go with the “Pro” if you have a newer motherboard that supports the faster speeds. Go with the “Evo” if you want to stay within a certain budget and still have a fast/efficient SSD.

Loading times are non-existence because of the speed and power of this drive. Definitely a step up from the samsung evo 870 ssd drive.
