I purchased this Samsung 990 PRO 1TB SSD from Best Buy to expand the storage in my Lenovo LOQ gaming laptop, and it’s been an excellent upgrade. Installation was easy, and the drive was immediately recognized and ready to use. Game load times, file transfers, and overall system responsiveness improved right away. Using this drive specifically for games has made everything feel faster and smoother compared to the stock SSD. Samsung quality is top-notch, and this drive delivers exactly what you’d expect from a high-performance NVMe SSD. Highly recommended if you want a fast, reliable storage upgrade for gaming or productivity.

Samsung SSD drives continue to set the standard for all other companies to follow. I never have any issues with them, and the PRO models are lightning fast. I use these in every PC I've built and upgraded and have had no failures to date.

No issues - just how I like it. Fast. Better packaging than some, which is good to protect the product, and re-use if you are replacing a drive. Not that you need it, unless it's for a warranty, but the manual is unreadable because of print size. They would do better to simply include a note with URL to get it, but maybe this is a legal issue.

Got a few of these to run in raid, they RIP! So far solid, been a crucial guy for years, stable reliable but this samsung tech might have an edge.... it was a hard switch but i think the samsung memory wins....

It’s compact and runs like a champ. It’s easy to install and the self installation instructions are simple and organized. I recommend this product for any PC. Great comparability across the board for any motherboard manufactured to date.

Very fast, no temperature issues so far. Got it at a good price as well when I purchased - though off sale there are definitely cheaper, competitive drives. Been using it as a replacement for my main drive, and boot times + games have been loading very quickly. I will also say, though I have not RMA'd or requested support for this drive, I had an issue with an old 970 Pro SSD with Samsung about 2 years ago and the support process was very smooth, got my drive saved and the data recovered.

Runs smooth without any problems and is easy to install

This is a great SSD. After installing, please use the Samsung Magician Software to update the Firmware on this SSD as soon as possible, to avoid premature wear as noted in very well documented past issues. Killer value when on sale. My unit is as fast as advertised, but in real world usage, I did not notice any difference from using my Samsung 980 PRO. This is probably my last purchase using the 4.0 protocol, as the new 5.0 protocol will be even faster yet. Great drive to get when it is on sale. Please have a heat sink to use with this drive, as it can get toasty and thermal throttle in heavy usage, like backing up files.

I can't speak about the product as it is a gift for my son, but I am sure it will be perfect! I will say that when I walk through the doors, I'm always greeted by someone cheerful who asks if I need help. When I pick up an item, the guys are always so eager, polite, and available even when there's a long line. Best Buy employees are Awesome! I always choose to go there instead of other local department stores because of all the positivity, willingness to answer questions, and help in every way!

One of the highest rated SSDs on the market. I purchased one a couple of years ago to upgrade my daughter's PC, and I was really impressed with its performance, so I decided to buy another one from Best Buy. I know that for some people 1TB may not be enough (guys already jumped to 2TB and 4TB), but for the main drive I believe it is enough. I have other SSDs for data, this one will just be the C: drive. Highly recommended!

Very fast. And samsung has always been an extremely reliable brand for me, as far as SSD/M.2 drives go. Literally the only brand I trust.

To be honest, this is the first SSD I've used in a laptop, I put an Alienware 51m2 in it and it works perfectly. I was able to migrate Windows to this hard drive very quickly. After 1 year of use, I can say that it has been tested daily and is in 99% condition and 100% performance. However, if you want it for gaming and video editing, you definitely need to cool it down because the temperature will rise above 50 C.

Good quality for what I needed. Much better for me than if I had gotten an external hard drive. Very easy to install on my PC as well.

The solid state drive is awesome but the Best Buy geek squad was more awesome. They installed backed up, cleaned up the bug my laptop. It works better than ever.

Samsung sets the standard on SSD in regards to price, performance and quality. My only complaint is with the Samsung utilities that only work if the source drive is also a Samsung drive.

The only NMVE or SSD I buy is the Samsung brand. Over the last 6 or 7 years , I have purchased about 12 Samsung SSDs or the new NVME drives. All perform great and none have failed or caused any kind of problem.
