Heatsink is large and won't fit in Laptop

Heat sink is pretty thick and wont fit in my laptop or external NVMe case. Cannot remove heatsink so am stuck with using it without the case cover. It should be fine in a desktop PC.

Great nvme drive, even though older mb is pcie 3.0

If I power cycled the system, bios would see the drive again and run fine till the next crash. I had to return it to Samsung twice before they sent me a replacement. The replacement is much more stable but still crashes to bios (3 times so far). I'm running windows 11 on a newer i9 pc with an Asrock z790-c motherboard.
