Had an open slot in my gaming computer and wanted to replace a Micron SSD that didn’t have a heat sink, as well as upgrade my read/write speeds. Needed a solution that would allow for easy cloning of my boot disk and saw a YouTube video that that showed the steps with this exact drive to do this. Everything was a breeze and went as expected (make sure you turn OFF Bitlocker before you attempt to clone drive if it is on. Cloned perfectly and added it and a second one of these (2TB version) in my rig. Highly recommend. Even better, snagged it on sale for 50% off :) .

It has faster read/write speeds than the SSD that comes in the PS5 Slim. Easier to intall than most PC's but that is a component of the PS5 and not the SSD. Very cool aesthetics with the black and red colors and rigid shape of the heatsink version!

Double the games!

The added storage has more than doubled the amount of games available on my PS5. The fact that I don't need to play musical chairs with the games installed to the console makes the SSD an awesome upgrade.

Samsung SSD - Perfect for my PS5

Popped off the Play Station’s cover, inserted the the Samsung SSD, tightened a couple of screws, replaced the cover, and done. It works like a charm. The price was right. I highly recommend it.
