Highly recommend this ssd it is super fast I use this in my Lenovo legion t5 and download big games in about 30 minutes used the 980 pro in my ps5 and it was great also

The 990 Pro is a good quality product; I have 4 of them; just make sure you check the firmware because it can seriously affect the service life of the product.

This Nvme is very fast, but make sure to run the new samsung software because the older softrware can cause you to lose how many times you can rewrite to the nvme.

Samsung makes the best ssd. The price is amazing. Be aware that starting from a new year 2024 the prices will go up, since Samsung owns the chips that every ssd maker uses.

Really good M.2 SSD works well, and i always loves the samsang software that updates drivers, firmware, and clones your drive. Reads and Writes are amazing all in all good SSD

Great product the 4th gen m.2 are the sweet spot. The 5th are over price for the min. Speed increase that they provide. I got a 2tb for $89 with total tech. No brainier.

Overall great power but for some reasons 990 pro has difficulty cloning from 1 pc took me a long time.

My computer runs so much faster and smoother after installing windows onto it. Use to have it installed on an old HDD and it would take 15 minutes to boot it. It was ridiculous

While I do wish the endurance was higher - it is king of random 4k writes. Using consumer hardware in a homelab is dicey. But I'm hoping they may play nice enough to get decent ZFS performance (really need an ssd with power loss protection via super capacitor. Otherwise BTRFS is your friend. But if your information isnt mission critical, your using a COW or an other resilient file system (cough BTRFS). I have yet to test them. But having recieved a batch manufacturered october 2023 - shouldn't have any firmware issues. Any manufacturer date after September 2023 2TB drives may use the same improved flash used in the 4TB.

The 2tb are enough for large games and i don't have to worry about running out of space and having to delete games and re-download games especially if your wifi is slow.

Installed it alongside the 970 PRO that came with my PC, and it's done the trick. Fast speeds make loading up certain AAA title games a breeze.
