I'm thrilled with the 990 EVO Pro 4TB M.2 - it's truly an impressive piece of hardware. Faced with the dilemma of choosing between slow-loading games with ample storage or a faster, smoother gaming experience with fewer games, this SSD provided the perfect solution. The 990 EVO Pro strikes an ideal balance, enabling me to have over 100 games simultaneously. I also re-installed Windows, to ensure my PC operates seamlessly and at a rapid pace. Now booting up takes less than a second, and I no longer fret about restarting my PC for updates or downloads. While it's on the pricey side, I see it as an investment in saving time. Now, there are no more pesky loading screens or the hassle of deleting games to make room. With read and write speeds that are 10x faster, all my games download swiftly, fully maximizing my Fiber Internet speed. As a reference point, I downloaded GTA 5 in just 10 minutes with my 1 Gig speed!

Bought for use in PS5. Initially PS5 wants you to format, and when done the first time it read much slower than advertised. Formatted second time, and the speeds registered much closer to advertised. Note 1) does NOT come with mounting screw. So don’t be me and have a new toy you can’t install for a day. Note 2) if using for the PS5, plan on using the PS app to install your game library. COD for instance, will absolutely not install from the console and store again. Suggestion: use the app, and start your installs before bed if you have a huge library. Worked perfectly after that. Fit my entire library and no more failed updates “insufficient space for update”. No lag for load times etc. Would buy again.

Works excellent. Cannot even tell it’s in there. Recently purchased a PS5 and bought games on a Black Friday sale. I knew I didn’t have enough storage so I did my research and the Samsung was the obvious choice. While shopping in Best Buy around Thanksgiving in Snellville , GA they had a PlayStation rep who was there answering questions to anyone that wanted to know stuff. I have had a PlayStation 4 for a long time and a little late to the party for the ps5. But the rep answered all my questions because I’m all honesty I didn’t know how the storage worked vs the ps4. Everyone was awesome. I always use Best Buy for my electronics and other needs. I had just bought my wife some air tags back in September for her birthday. Long story short it’s like Christmas for me and I’m pushing 50. Haha

Hands down fastest GEN 4 SSD you can purchase. Now that Samsung has ironed-out that nasty firmware bug this SSD is a no brainer. It does run a little hot but with a capable cooler (non heatsink verison) you’ll be fine. The heat-sink equipped model handles all tempts without a problem.

Hands down the best M.2 SSD I’ve ever owned. This drive is insanely fast — 7,000 MB/s read and 6,000 MB/s write speeds. I can record 1080p 120FPS footage at 50,000 bitrate for my montages and the M.2 SSD doesn’t even flinch. With 4TB of space, I can store all my high-quality videos without worrying about running out of room. 10/10 — Highly recommend this to any content creator or editor who needs speed and storage. W.

This has been by far the best purchase I have made. More storage at lighting fast speeds for a fraction of the cost yes please.

I use to run out of storage often on my ps5, Call of duty is a big games and has a lot of updates doesnt help either but here comes Best buy and Samsung to the rescue first i want to thank Samsung for an amazing product the speed it took me to transfer all my game from my ps5 (about 450-470 gb of games) was under 5 mins light speed is the phase to use and my second thanks is to best buy for the premier deal on the SSD. all said and done im a happy guy now no more delete games to make space for me so thank you guys and one more thing check out my streams on twitch and kick my username is Seanchampagne

I got this for my PS5 Pro and the installation was simple, and the heatsink fits perfectly. The best part is the temperature control. Thanks to the built-in heatsink, the drive stays cool even during long gaming sessions. Very fast read/write speeds, I LOVE this SSD

Transfers data way faster than my old ps5 drive did. Huge upgrade from standard storage. My updates and downloadin is way faster too. Just installed this in my PS5, it moved 500GB of games from system storage to it in 3 minutes.

I bought it for my Ally X. My 1TB SSD filled up fast with all the games and emulators. This 4TB SSD added a lot of room for me to play around. I’ll probably add a 1TB microSD on top of this. The overall price of the SSD is pricey, but frequent sales should help reduce the strain on your wallet. I was lucky to also have a couple of coupons that I could use.

Works amazing on my ps5. So nice to have a ton more space than before. Get build quality and the heat sinks feel solid and disperse the heat well.

This is a great little drive. I installed it into the bottom of a 7-in-1 USB base for the 24-inch iMac M1 chip computer. Note: this drive is thicker than the 2TB drives. I made a riser for the base to accommodate the thickness of the drive. The riser was 3D printed using green filament.
